Some companies are sending "opt out of Mother's Day" emails to their employees & customers

Has Mother's Day become a problem for the far Left? You know, like "I don't want to hear about Mother's Day because my mother has a dick now."

Something very strange is happening with Big Corporations. Out of nowhere, @kroger owned @FrysFoodStores, @KayJewelers, @Hallmark, and now @DoorDash have all sent "Opt out of #MothersDay" emails to their customer base. This is not organic. This reeks of anti-family activists.

What’s wrong with that?
Some women are not able to have children due to legit reasons. Simply opting out the marketing emails is a nice gesture.

I would opt out. Both of my parents are gone. No need for email reminders that they are not here.

When do they send opt outs on BLM, Pride month and the many other things?
They want to destroy families, pure and simple.

i think it can be easily managed in a different way on your profile.
weird they are choosing mothers day to do this.

'opting out' of such reminders of ordinary human frailty further insulates the weak-minded from anything that might hurt their feelings
which is exactly what you would expect if your ultimate purpose was to encourage weak-mindedness

Hopefully it's something benign like that. I have my doubts, but let's keep a good thought

I'm skeptical as well.
If it was for any of the above reasons I think this would have been done a long time ago.
There's a new victim in town and everyone is bowing to them. This change probably caters to them.

God forbid you have to remember them.

Where was my option to opt out of Black and Women's History months?

Some mothers are terrible (like mine) and I don't have any want to send her anything, I would just delete the emails but I guess this is a good option for some.

What am I supposed to be outraged about here?
It seems like a nice gesture for women who can't have children, miscarried, lost little ones, etc, or people who may have lost their parents and don't want the yearly onslaught of reminders.
I cannot really imagine seeing this and thinking "yes, this is a political topic"

My wife and I were talking about it this weekend
On one hand, it's a little too "playing to everyone's delicate nature" for me.
On the other, it's...not offensive or problematic that I can tell.

While the left gives us plenty to get riled up about, this isn't one of them. Allowing people to opt out of marketing emails isn't the same as trying to cancel Mother's Day.

Mother Day cards are going to be replaced with "thank your pedo grammar school teacher for grooming me" cards.

Big corporations hate motherhood because they know an abortion is cheaper to pay for than maternity leave.

All these different companies came up with this shite simultaneously as a nice gesture.

Surely you're not suggesting these companies succumbed to organized pressure.

Someone who recently lost their mom might not want to be reminded.
