It was never about China, but all the other countries called Trump's Bluff, so he decided to just go all in with China. In the end, we will have the same results as if he did nothing at all.

Ive said we were going to war with them without putting boots on the ground or firing a shot. Chyna is needing a reality check, and was hoping Trump would go after them

I think the execution was less than stellar but I think Team Trump did the tariffs in a shock and awe format to get the attention of all US global trading partners. We have to remember, Trump could have attempted to address each nation one by one with his trade concerns or throw a nuclear bomb tariff policy into effect and force those nations to come to the US. We'll see if Team Trump's tariff strategy was the correct way to go....time will tell.

No, it is #4 which is to lower the manufacturing output of China spread to other nations and away from our economic and potential military adversary.

Just make yourself a note. Anything the US does externally, meaning anything outside of the US borders, is done with at least a thought of: "how does this affect China?" If anything is beneficial to China, we make sure they know.
