Israel and the US both said they will tell the people when it's safe for them to go into the streets. Maybe do some research before you post bullshite

Do you know how crazy it sounds for Iranians too follow Trump’s “instructions” or those of Pahlavi(given family history)…

Just how fricking stupid are you? Yes, it would be wise of them to listen to the guy who has his finger on the button that is dropping bombs all over their country. Not doing so is what would be crazy.

Do you actually TRY to be wrong about everything you post on?

Are you retarded? They have made multiple videos to Iranians to stay sheltered down until the bombing has stopped. You think they want them all in the streets while they are still actively bombing the capital of Iran?

Guess you missed the part where the US statement to the people of Iran was to Remain indoors and wait till the time to go to the streets was announced.

I’m just speaking about the point of view of Iranians inside of the country,!given their history. I know those people firsthand. They’re not going to enthusiastically follow a U.S. president who has bombed their country or the descendant of the despot who was the basis of the 1979 revolution. Iranians are not looking at the situation through the same lens you seem to be. It’s easy for us to dispassionately analyze their options from afar, but it’s not realistic. I mean sure, it would be great if the Iranians formed a new western style democracy, but they don’t have sufficient leadership or infrastructure. At this moment. Maybe that will change, but I’m not overly optimistic…

This has kind of been the question once you get past the strategic decision as to whether we should or shouldn’t attack. We didn’t stage any ground troops so there won’t be an actual invasion in the short term outside of special ops. Israel doesn’t have the means to invade effectively. So absent a mass popular uprising coinciding with the IRGC leadership putting down their arms and calling for elections what is the path to a positive outcome here? To be clear, there’s still tons of time for that to occur and I’m sure Mossad and the CIA are trying to negotiate it as we speak. But if the IRGC isn’t dumb enough to show itself and isn’t smart enough to cut a deal how do we win? Lyndsay Graham says we don’t have a plan because it isn’t our problem. That to me is insanity but it’s basically what we did in Venezuela. We grabbed Maduro, left his lieutenants in charge and moved directly to Iran. Do we arm the opposition groups and kick off a civil war? That might be the only path to a pro western government outside of an IRGC negotiated surrender which would result in a dictatorship but possibly a puppet one. Killing the ayatollah only opens the door to fixing the problem, it doesn’t by itself fix the problem. Hopefully we have a plan to create a pro western government and the means to enact it. Because otherwise we’re no better off than we were before and we’ve seen that half assed approach lead to disasters in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and elsewhere.

This got four downvotes…SMDH you people are monumentally stupid.

Where is the exiled Shah of Iran?

Only the "Exiled Shah" and possibly the US consider him as worthy of return as shah

The average Iranian cant stand him and thinks he is a fool.

They did. And many of them were murdered for it. The world responded and they are now free. Iran is already in talks with the US wrt transition of power. The regime has fallen. They’ve already won.

And the exiled Shah is making the media rounds in support of the liberation. He’s been very clear that he does not presume to have a divine right to lead Iran. He only expects to play a role in the democratic reconstruction of the nation.

A lot of people want him back simply because it's different than what they have been experiencing for 47 years, but a lot more do not.

It's a tricky situation, eh? I heard the plan is for him to lead a temporary government and hold national elections. I wonder if the people would accept this as a temporary solution.

Like it or not, this time the Americans truly will be viewed as liberators. I think Trump's words to the Iranian people will carry some weight in what happens next. I hope so anyways.

Yea ... Let's have them all go out and hit the streets by the millions while we are still dropping bombs all over hot targets.

That's a fricking brilliant idea!!!

I don’t worry much about downvotes or name calling particularly when no one is providing substantive objective arguments against.

It’s not possible to have discussions on the internet without those things in modern America so you won’t last long if you do.
