All because some pussy conservatives needed a safe space from Colin Kaepernick
As funny as SJW ridiculousness has become, it's equally amusing that NFL/Kneeling is the conservative equivalent.

Up to 4 games, plus fines.
When did Dolphins become a government entity?

Funny thing is that if you simply ignored it, it wouldn’t be controversial. Everytime it falls out of the news cycle they start talking about finding new ways to protest, but then someone throws gas on the flame and gives power to the entire protest in the first place
Forced patriotism isn’t patriotic. I don’t care what people do during the national anthem, life is way to short to worry that much about other people’s shite that much.

So much for the 1st Amendment:

The NFL owners keep finding ways to shot themselves in the foot. It’s quite comical.

Dolphins probably making a huge mistake, but in no way is this unconstitutional.
The Dolphins are merely exhaustively listing a wide array of corrective actions for when the incidents happen. It would be illegal to punish by methods that are different than the corrective actions submitted to the league or to increase the punishments.

By submitting maximum penalties, they can easily tailor those back. But once the paperwork is submitted, it is the team's understanding that you can't increase potential discipline for conduct detrimental. One source said there is no expectation that a player will be suspended four games -- listed as the maximum possible penalty -- for protesting during the anthem

Yes, its their first amendment right to protest. Just like its the right of the PRIVATE business owner(s) to suspend the guy that feels the need to do that on company time.

Jesus christ, NFL ownership is remarkably stupid

We're on the same page today brother.
It's bait on the hook and idiots keep going for it. When it seemingly goes away, they recast the line. Rinse, repeat.
And yes, it's absolutely forced patriotism. I served a voluntary military and consider myself a patriot - I couldn't care less about NFL players kneeling.
I equate it to people that suddenly hate their favorite actor/actress/musician because of some political view or lifestyle choice. I'm not watching those folks for their opinions, I just like your music or movies.

No it’s not, and I know you’re trolling. They died to make sure you don’t go to jail for it.
You telling me what my buddies died for, now? Listen here motherfricker, my friends died for the rights of them football players and not for some sissy rednecks who get offended by minorities!

I don't know, man. There are a lot of people (especially rednecks) who just don't want to be reminded of shitty things in the world when they put on a football game and crack a Bud. NFL is just catering to those baws.

They can protest when they arent on the company's dime.

It's very funny that their solution to the issue couldn't even make it to training camp without being shite on by both sides.

Are the dolphins a government entity ?
Posted on 7/19/18 at 7:33 pm to Saint Sinner
So is this for any player who elects to stay in the locker room. Or just the players who kneel on the field?

They are the ones keeping this situation alive. If they were catering to people who didn’t want to think about it then they would ignore it.

I wish the people complaining about would just state the real reasons they don't like it. They don't give a shite about the troops or "patriotism".

Do people not realize that companies don’t want you expressing political beliefs/protesting while on the clock? I’m sure that a sales clerk would be fired if they said “frick Trump/Obama” to every customer they encountered.
