Nope can't have no uppity ball players speaking out. They better take that ball and score touchdowns

"Hello, welcome to the Olive Garden. I'll be your waitress Michelle. Before I take your order I'd like to tell you my thoughts on abortion. Abortion is a very important topic because...."
Are you wrong for thinking the waitress should just shut up and take your damn order? You didn't go into the restaurant to be subjected to her thoughts on politics. Customers aren't there to be lectured on social topics. A sane restaurant owner would never allow his staff to irritate the customers in such a manner.

THATS FROM TV RIGHTS. Contracts that are signed and complete. Which determines the salary cap, floor, vet minimum, rookie minimum, etc. Players are currently shielded from the market effects of the protests. But when tv rights are renegotiated in a few years they won’t be

The NFL’s overall ratings were down 8.4% this year for the AFC and NFC title games. That follows a 16% decline for the divisional round playoff games, a 13% decline for the NFL wild card playoff games, and a 9.7% decline for the regular season in general.
2014 Title games 107.2 million viewers
2015 91 million
2016 91 million
2017 86.4 million

The AFC and NFC title games hit a nine year low when you combine total viewers for both games. More alarmingly for the NFL, the ratings have declined nearly 20% for those games since 2014.

Now you can argue, as many NFL ratings apologists wish to do, that the reason for the NFL’s ratings decline is larger societal trends — cord cutting, illegal streaming, a decline in traditional TV viewership, poor match ups in the playoffs, you name it — and not the politicization of football which has alienated the core football audience. But if all that is true, why were college football playoff ratings up double digits on cable this year?

You are dumb. Really, really dumb. For real.

I believe most ad space is bought up ahead of time because of typical demand. That premium hit hasn’t really been realized and probably won’t immediately until advertisers see if this is just a hiccup or actually a trend.

Remember when people were mad that Miami didn't offer Kaepernick a spot?

Remember Colin Kaepernick’s career where he averaged 188 yards passing per game?

That’s a false equivalency.

It doesn’t interrupt the experience at all unless you allow it to
