My mom is in that age group. I spoke to her yesterday and she hasn't gone anywhere since this started. She said she was going to store today because she was out of everything like milk, eggs, produce, etc. I expect there will be a wave of people restocking at about the same time.

I'm shocked that you saw so many old geezers at 9:30 am. Most of us shop at 7 am. I'm in the store at 6 am because I wake up at 3. I never wear a mask. I'm not afraid of dying. I don't give a shite about 'breeding ground for future death numbers.'

I’m pushing 70,I go to WalMart about twice a week,Lowe’s about once a week.If I need or want something I go get it.I have no illusions that I am going to live forever.So if the Corona Virus gets me,so be it.Actually I would rather die while I’m independent,I don’t want to spend my last years wearing Depends and drooling.on myself.

I hope you are wrong. My dad is in a nursing home and was just confirm to have COVID-19 yesterday. They are starting him on the cocktail of hydroxychloroquine, Z-pak, zinc, and vitamin C today. The nursing home said they have successfully treated all 10 residents that have tested positive with that cocktail. I sure hope they did not jinx my father.

Someone who wears a mask isn't protecting themselves from getting sick (even if they think they are) as much as they are protecting YOU from getting sick.
We should all be happy to see people wearing masks in cramped areas.
