And I feel like it'll be out of the news cycle tomorrow.

Curious how they got it to 84 mil for this. Seems a bit excessive

It was a civil trial that was heard by a judge since Trump's lawyers did not object to a trial by judge. He was found guilty and a jury came in to determine damages. Before you can appeal a civil judgement, you must deposit a bond in either cash or property without a morgage for an amount that could go as high as 120% of the damages that will be held by the court pending end of appeals. That could be like $99 million.

SDNY Judge Lewis Kaplan who infamously dismissed Prince Andrew's sexual assault claims made by one of Jeffery Epstein’s human trafficking victims—is the SAME judge that presided over E. Jean Carrol vs. Trump’s defamation case—as well as the now infamous SBF/FTX trial.

Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan was also appointed by Bill Clinton.

A few years ago they might have gotten away with this.

But Americans today know that this is fake news and fake Justice.

75% of it was punitive damages.

Yeah, like that will happen. All these frauds will be rushing to try to sign book or movie deals or NIL type deals.

I hate what has become of our justice system. It is a mockery of justice.

No nitwit, it wasn't.

There was a jury, and the Judge is well aware of how egregious he was and the judgement is. So before dismissing them, he strongly recommended to the jurors that they never tell anyone they served on the jury in this case.

Sounds like you are happy with the way our judicial systems have been weaponized.

Hillary thought insulting people based solely on who they support was a good idea too.

If Alex Jones can convince his followers to threaten and harass parents who lost children in Sandy Hook, based on a blatant lie, I'm sure the jurors, who actually served as jurors, could face similar fates. Let's not pretend that liberals are the only group with unhinged lunatics prone to violence.

While there is mental illness across the political spectrum let’s not pretend that the daily news cycles are filled with anyone other than liberal nut jobs
