Even if this relegates her to just theatre, that's still a huge win. The money and fame on Broadway is a fraction of being in movies.
Probably everyone on this website can name five actors in feature films in the last three years. Probably very few could name five actors on Broadway over the last three years (assuming they weren't also on t.v./film).

Yes it’s two fold for sure. They aren’t wrong that she her statements both about the film and about politics sealed its fate. They were already in trouble and had major reshoots so I get it. But I don’t think this is Disney trotting out a producer’s son as much as variety seeking comments from anyone and he was just so happened to be the one to respond. Not everything is coordination and this film in particular is a showcase of nuclear clusterfricks. Disney has always missed the mark in morality. It’s why Tolkien never allowed his works to be used or made by Disney. (Unfortunately they aren’t the only media company with that mindset now in Amazon)

The star willingly jumped under the bus, and any studio is going to deflect from a movie failure when the star hands you a gift-wrapped excuse. FFS, she went viral shite-talking the movie that built Disney. Even if this remake WAS good that's going to cost you.
I've never really followed Hollywood drama and even I knew about her catastrophic press appearances.

That sounds like cope. All these live-action remakes of Disney classics have been dogshit and nobody was buying into this one in the year of our Lord 2025.

I agree, which is why I said "if it was good". It's apparently not and that has nothing to do with her mouthing off. One of the youtube movie drama people that has trashed the movie and her for her comments said she actually did a pretty good job as an actress and singer. It's just bad source material.
I don't believe for a second she said that stuff out of the blue; that almost certainly came out of discussions with the producers and director. They were just pissed that she said it out loud.

That dumb mirror ruined the movie. Like anyone would trust a mirror that said Zegler is hotter than Gadot.

True. And people expected it to not do great, but this little cvnt yapping lost them 10s of millions of dollars on her own. That's not her job, but to shut her trap other than movie promotion. That's probably why the producer flew to talk to her. Stop being another reason they are bleeding.
She should be shunned from Hollywood forever, but I'm sure Hollywood will not shock me by not doing so. That gadot chick can go away too.
