Everything woke turns to shite. These people live in a bubble where they can't be wrong, but nobody else is buying that crap. You see it everywhere. Gutfield on Fox news is beating Colbert and Kimmel in ratings. Cnn is still losing viewers meanwhile Fox News is still going strong. All of the celebrities self gratification awards shows? Nobody watches that shite. People don't like it. I've gotten to the point that I won't watch certain things because of who is in it. Starring Robert DeNiro? I'll pass.

Unfortunately, SNL is a zombie that will keep shambling on because they have the ability to completely turn over a cast and try something new every so often.
Whenever the show hit its rock bottom, like in 1980-1981, 1985-1986, and 1994-1995, they pretty much canned everybody except a few key players and tried again.

It's clear that Norm hated the Clintons, but I think that his Update felt "right leaning" simply because he had them to work with every week during his time there. He was obviously a dick with no boundaries, so he was going to eat them alive.
I honestly don't recall him going after more "traditional" target when he was on, but again, it could very well have been that The Clintons were such attention hogs. But he was clearly more right leaning as he got older and you saw him outside the confines of the SNL Update. Even so, he's the exception that proves the rule. I thought it was going to be the 'All I want for Christmas is Bob Mueller' skit... nope.
Then I thought it was the first time I watched them bring mothers on the show but that had a somewhat happy ending with one mother asking them to lighten up on Trump.... Nope
This was just another cringe.

I watched some of the Dave Chappelle one, but that's the only one since they actively sabotaged the show when Trump was on it.

Biggest reason they suck is they ae not allowed to make fun of Biden and most of the BS that is going on the country. People see thru the fakeness of it all and just decide to tune out.

I was a devout SNL viewer…really thought it was some humorous shite. Now I watch an old rerun and have a hard time seeing anything that’s particularly funny. Maybe it was all the weed, beer and Doritos that we smoked and consumed that made SNL funny in the 70’s-80’s…..lol!
