i firmly believe Joe has some degree of dementia. but he says "jill bidens" husband.

Trump and Republicans need to be careful how they attack Joe’s senile issues. Dropping the hammer on old Joe could turn off older voters. Not sure how calling him “Slow Joe” does any good. Let Joe’s actions speak for themselves.

Whether he said I'm Joe Biden's husband or Jill Biden's husband, either way is an odd way of "introducing" oneself- shows dependency in the case of the former, and dependency & confusion in the case of the latter.

Exactly. It sounds like "Joel" to me but that was probably just being tongue-tied for a moment. I think he is so used to saying "I'm Joe Biden and I approve of this message" or something similar for commercials that he reflexive began saying that and then corrected himself in the middle of it which is why it came out like that.
Him saying "First lady, lady lady lady..." was much weirder.

My thought as well. It also comes across as if Jill is the one running for President and he'd there to support her.
