Trump is just one man and he won't be around after this term. Once the a Dem is POTUS the USA will return very hastily to the Clinton/Obama/Biden Model of governance of the USA.

Ron lost all sense of objectivity when he didn't get the Democratic nomination against Trump. Couldn't even beat out candidate that was unable to string 3 sentences together to even make sense.

He's going economic assassin mode ????

"We've been going after their bank accounts, crypto wallets, assets around the world, cutting off payments into both the leadership and the regime and the government itself."

"As a result...one of the largest banks or the largest bank in Iran collapsed, central bank had to print money, created huge inflation."

"People say, well, Cuba lasted a long time, Venezuela lasted a long time. Venezuela immediately crumbled when we put the blockade on, so it will be a combination of economic isolation like the world has NEVER seen before, and the continued blockade in the Strait of Hormuz that will keep anything from going in or out of the Iranian port.

I think what is not being revealed is that when americans are broke, we crumble. when those arabs are broke, they survive.

Which isn't the right way to go either...

Trump was doing great before stepping in it in Iran.... Had he not done so, we'd be a rocket ship (outside of just the markets being up)

If SOH traffic goes back to pre war levels and they’re allowed to toll ships at the 5-7% rate that’s being talked about, that’s $100 billion per year going to Tehran.

Irans entire GDP (according to the IMF) is roughly $300 billion, for reference.

If monkeys fly out their butt at a billion a pop and they have 300 do it thats also 300 billion.

I dont think so either but if it’s even half the traffic that’s still a huge chunk of change being given to Iran annually.

If we simply walk away entirely (and we might) this is absolutely a possible outcome.

There’s really no good options left. What a mess.

How about NO.

And are you just ignorant. We have them by the balls. And these "radicals" have over a billion of their personal offshore assets frozen. They will walk away, they certainly wont die for their beliefs.

Or have you taken a look at the leadership of Palestine sipping latte in Kuwait while the martyrs die

We're already winning so HARD and Iran's economy is collapsing. Already collapsed, really. Like OP said. Never in history has a country been so BROKE. They're out of options.

But also we're going to come up with a bunch of new DOUBLE SECRET sanctions that we had to wait until after a war and months of stalemate and collapsing deals to unveil. We didn't try them before the war because, well, that's not important. The point is we are definitely WINNING and everything is GREAT but also we have these new super-secret sanctions that will help us to win and get us out of this frickUP. I mean GREAT SITUATION. We've got them exactly where we want them and their economy has collapsed, and also we're going to finally unleash "economic obliteration" on them which will cause them to collapse. Both those things are true at the same time. We're certainly not out of options and blustering.

And the twitter bots go doo, doo doo, doo doo doo, doo, doo doo, doo doo doo . . .

You do realize the blockade also stops things incoming, and we blew up the rail heads coming into the country.

China is the one that doesn’t make sense though as they depend heavily upon that oil, although they have over a billion barrels of stockpiled

"had" over a billion would be the operative word. They depleted 100s of millions with the first blockade, and they burn through about 17 million a day, they are getting a little itchy.

And the Iranian oil they did by, how much do you think they paid Iran

Probably trick us into ending sanctions and the blockade for a few weeks with a fake deal again to refill the coffers

Smugglers have been smuggling out of China for hundreds of years over the land including throughout the last 25 years of Mideast war. That’s not going to end anytime soon

What is our real world, best case example of economic embargo and isolation working to achieve either 1. Regime change or 2. Functional relations with current regime?

It has failed in a number of countries. Has it ever really worked?

That would require a little thing called logistics and when the US military has a stranglehold on you.....I dont think a couple of camels will make a difference.

Chini is "buying" what little oil they got out at a HUGE discount.

Bessent has cut off their black market brokers, and they have gone to even less reputable thieves who have, along with rogue IRGC members, thiefed billions.

They are in an absolute mess financially.

They are missing payments to the military and front line IRGC, even the mafia knows you are doomed at that point.
