I am old enough to have been a draftee and I guess I was a young man of average ability and toughness. There is zero chance an average woman would have got through what I did in 1968 and 1969 alive. Zero.

Have you ever forced a woman to do something she didn't want to do?
How long did it take for her to stop crying?
Did she bitch and whine the whole time?
Did she take pride in the task?
How many men are going to be put in more danger because see their little sister in these women?
A good man has inherent nature to protect. Even if it means his life.
Women are not men and men are not women, regardless of what they left says.

I want my downvoters of this post to explain to me why you’re downvoting.

What is the point of drafting what you don't need?
Posted on 1/22/20 at 11:15 am to CarrolltonTiger
My issue with the draft is that if you're male, you are required to register with selective service. If you don't this bars you from student loans, many jobs, etc.
Women don't have this requirement. Why?

Women in the military should only be in non-combat roles, they can't do the same things men do things have to be modified for them.

So if we’re going to do a draft, women shouldn’t be eligible because they don’t inherently add anything of value to the military.
If (for example) you need to draft 10% of HS grads (for whatever reason), it makes no sense to draft 20% of the boys (and put the burden on them) and zero percent of the girls ... especially if 50% of military needs can be met by females just as well as by males.

Sure, start a new branch of The military. Soup and sandwich force.

The issue at hand is the double standard that feminist push on men in this country.
This isn't about "traditionalism" anymore.
Feminist only want traditionalism when it benefits women. That's why men like you get played by their policitical commentary. As another poster put it, in a true traditionalist Christian society women would forgo careers to be mothers and housewives.
Notice the double standard.

They may perform them as well as men, sure. But there’s other things to consider. There, such as how will it affect things when she’s all of a sudden pregnant when her unit is about to deploy.

Then our laws SHOULD reflect that.
Instead, they are completely one sided and unfair. It's basically Jim Crow but for sex and not race.
We poor millions into making sure one side has essentially more opportunities and less stressors (drafting, etc.) and dump all costs and actually work on the other side.
Look, I understand the traditional reasons why and I respect them. The problem is this
Men are keeping their end of the bargain as far traditional male roles. Women have abandoned theirs. The results is basically more men leaving the contract entirely or just working to take care of themselves.

yes they "should"
but it scares the living hell out of me to see morons like my niece and her friends who cant seem to handle the stress of getting and keeping a job, would ever be near the controls of armored vehicles equipt with weapons of terrible destruction and power

An army of sandwich makers would be helpful.

I used to think like this. Until I see people with no repercussions voting for others to do the dirty work.
If the poor paid and the women fought, there would be paying and fighting.

Wouldn't it be great if us veterans could be accepted back in once we reach retirement age? Best years of my life were in service and I regret now, not staying in longer.

In a just Christian society women would be exempted from the draft. They would also have the highest calling of being good wives and mothers so they wouldn’t be competing with men for jobs and education.
The key word is compete. In a just Christian society, men and women work their hardest for their families and the common good. If this means women win the spots at university and are best qualified for jobs, they get them. When these highly capable women become pregnant, society supports their reproduction as a future boon to their ranks. If their husband is as highly qualified, they have no problem hiring needed help. If the man is not as qualified, perhaps his Christian duty is to stay home, raise his children, and help others when he can. I want the best physician/attorney/plumber, etc., not the best male physician/attorney/plumber. Sorry competition from women is so tough, you have to wish your competitors, and future Marie Curies, into a kitchen.
And, no, women shouldn’t be drafted. That’s how you get a bunch of unplanned pregnancies during a time of crisis.
