No this will be different. It will be really about establishing patriotism and hard work ethic in everyone. They’ll have the weekends off and still get to have some fun, but you should be taught your civic duties. It’s a way better use of our money than 90% of the shite we spend. I’d rather my money go to that than Harvard.

Start wars with all our neighbors and kick them out? I could use some of that ranch land south of the border. I’m sure we could manage to annex some of Mexico at our current military strength though.

I would be okay with some degree of (soft) compulsory national service, but it certainly shouldn't be military.

Particularly since we are increasingly pricing out young/inexperienced employees, a period of compulsory service, perhaps in conservation, public works or something along those lines would also give those young folks a reference, a demonstrated period of performance to take into the job market.

Heck, I would even count going to trade school, for free, in a trade deemed both in need and a necessity for public infrastructure or whatever, if I was in charge. We would certainly get more plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc. out of the deal, than folks who aren't, strictly speaking, college material.

Little Bennie was more than welcome to join up and serve, I"m sure he could have talked terrorists to death.

Under the current military apparatus I would agree with your post but if you could get the military back to breaking shite and killing the enemy with no DEI considerations then compulsory military service for two years would help wash some of the Cultural Marxist tendencies from the young skulls full of mush
