Should illegal immigrants be counted on the census?

Should illegal immigrants be counted on the census at all? Or should they be counted as "undocumented"?
When we redistrict in 2021, should the decisions be made on where US citizens live or where all people live? If so, why?

Well, a large portion of the Democratic party (a major US party) supports open borders. So illegal immigrants are here.

Understood. If we address the base issue then your question becomes irrelevant. But, as you point out since they are here, I think they should be counted but not considered for the allocation of monies excepting those monies which would be used for deportation.

Count them on the bus back to their country. If they came here legally then welcome and I think you are the best part of our country. If illegal... you have to go back.

They should be counted as illegals which means they should be counted in number but not towards more house reps, electoral votes, or federal funds.

its a census of US citizens, if you include non citizens of the USA then you have to count the entire world population.
its the most insane position ever spouted that non citizens should be counted
they are now moving on to include voting rights and full benefits for all non citizens as well

The US census purpose is to count US citizens and one reason is for proper representation in congress.

They should be counted as illegals, so that we can properly allocate resources to US citizens. Only US citizens should be considered when it comes to allocating tax monies, or representation in government.

They should be counted as non-citizens, possibly making an extra criteria for "illegal".

Where US citizens live.
Why? Because one of the prime reasons for the census is to determine representation in the House as well as a basis for redistricting. As illegals cannot vote, taking their presence into account for apportionment is ridiculous.
I also think it runs afoul of the notations mentioned in the Section 2 of the 14th Amendment (which is expanded upon only by those changes brought about in the 19th and 26th Amendments).

Thus districts are carved out to represent citizens, not total population.
