be a little bit honest here. some stranger tries to steal shite from her, then starts filming her and her baby and pursuing them and goading her, as she retreats and asks them to leave her alone. Even if you think she deserves to be convicted for the grave sin of saying shite black people say 256 billion times every day, shouldn't this guy have been AT MINIMUM equally charged?
Because this is what people have a problem with... the unequal treatment.

Absolutely gets overturned on appeal. Ridiculous that it has to be appealed in the first place

Royalty status. A word thats only people who have a certain skintone are allowed to say. If people of another skintone says it.. they can be arrested and charged.

Dude these pop up daily on civil rights/police accountability YouTube channels.
This one is from just a couple weeks ago. Dude got arrested for PUBLIC disorderly conduct for cursing on his private property. The cop even straight up tells him it’s illegal to curse if people can hear you.
Like I said earlier, the misapplication of DC laws is an epidemic in this country. It is by LEOs who get offended and don’t understand civil rights. This specific case just hit all the topics to make it go viral in today’s culture wars. But believe me, this is an issue far beyond someone white saying the N word.

Location matters. There are places in the US that you can be penalized for doing some things that you can get away with elsewhere.

Hey moron. This is a conviction.
Of course you can find instances of some police officer not knowing the law and arresting someone for something that isn't illegal. I imagine you could find examples of that for just about anything. That isn't similar to this.

This guy got arrested for inserting himself in a situation that didn’t concern him, and heckling a bunch of cops. Disorderly was the excuse they used to get rid of him. There is also no indication of whether he was ever charged, whether he was found guilty, or his sentence.
This thread is not about a 1A auditor looking to start shite. Shiloh Hendrix did not go out looking for trouble that day. She was charged 4 MONTHS after the incident, after an investigation.
The system went out of their way to extend this situation. At various points in the process, a number of different entities could have ended this, but didn’t.
These are the same types of people that rung up chauvin, canonized George Floyd, are fighting to prevent Somalis from being investigated for stealing their money, and tried to arrest federal ice agents. Don’t fricking tell me I don’t know what is going on here.

They held a 4 day jury trial with 8 hours of deliberations for an ultra generic misdemeanor.
As someone put it, the process was the punishment. The entire charade was about thought crime and establishing tiers of justice based on how preferred your demographics are. Very similar to what's going on in the UK right now.
