You need to get rid of yours

All it takes is for one woman to claim you locked her in against her will, and you have ZERO defense

It's quite apparent that remotely locking one's door is fricking IN DEMAND among executives and I'll bet my house that tons of women have these buttons too.

A 14-to-1 DV ratio for simple indisputable truth.

Yet another reason UV/DV should not be anonymous.

Harvey was in a business that needs women. I am not.
I employed 1 once, her productivity was 70% of what I expect, and her breakdown costs were double.
After I called her once and brought all this up to her,she quit.
Looking at it now, I am probably lucky that I never met her in person.

how many people had them in 2001?

Dude may really be a creep........but that door lock story is a joke and doesn't tell you shite

how bout this?

quote:

In 2001, the woman said, Mr. Lauer, who is married, asked her to his office to discuss a story during a workday. When she sat down, she said, he locked the door, which he could do by pressing a button while sitting at his desk. (People who worked at NBC said the button was a regular security measure installed for high-profile employees.) The woman said Mr. Lauer asked her to unbutton her blouse, which she did. She said the anchor then stepped out from behind his desk, pulled down her pants, bent her over a chair and had intercourse with her. At some point, she said, she passed out with her pants pulled halfway down. She woke up on the floor of his office, and Mr. Lauer had his assistant take her to a nurse.

Well you can't say I'm being partisan about it. LOL

This is a very significant issue to me. I think men who aren't paying attention to what's been going down for YEARS are whistling through the graveyard

For some strange reason, this reminds me of the scene from Dr. Strangelove where Mandrake is locked in Ripper's office when he informs him he issued real launch codes against Russia.

"Take it easy Mandrake, nothing can be done about this thing now.."

i think the problem is the story of the remote door lock came out prior to how he used it.

i'm guessing the other shoe will drop over and over and you'll just say 'meh, still doesn't mean anything'

Bumpy bump.

Where yat shortyrob

Lauer is accused of predatory behavior by several female former colleagues — including one who says he locked her in his office, then sexually assaulted her.

I'm here but what's your point? I already said in a few different places that he probably is a dirtbag. The fact he folded so fast tells you that

That still doesn't make a door switch that's common to piss loads of executives informative

I can hold two different unrelated concepts in my head at the same time

By the way just to add to my prior post. You see her being able to cite the button as being used against her........ Now THAT is evidence. The buttons existence was not

I maintained from the beginning the remote door lock was only brought up because it was part of the evolving story here.... Not that in and of itself it was a bad thing.

What's coming out now is how he used this too further intimidate women who he wanted to assault.

Your bias is showing because you're outraged that so many women are just now coming forward creating a toxic environment for all red blooded straight males.

I get that point too but some of these stories are about truly terrible people like lauer

did you actually read the story other than just the headline?

Did you notice that it doesn't appear she said no to the situation?

Her testimony is that he I asked her to open her shirt and she did. Then apparently he started to get busy. She remembers this shirt opening which means she would remember saying no but she doesn't say that

Now don't get me wrong. You're not supposed to be fricking married people in your office and in passing off the aftermath to your assistant. That ought to get you fired.

But there needs to be a shade more information that was left out of this story. Kind of crucial information

I'm sure you think I'm being hyper Vigilant on this and I totally get it. But I have some unique experience in this department and I've seen what happens when a guy gets railroaded and everything looks true. I've seen it twice.

One of those people went to jail for 11 years before he was exonerated. So you'll have to forgive me for not jumping on the media band wagon

I want you to pay attention to this part very closely. I also personally know a woman very close to me who was brutally raped. Dude that raped her was never found . Shity men who rape people are the scum of the earth as far as I'm concerned

What we have done on this subject makes what happened to her more likely not less.

When you create an environment where all allegations are treated equally regardless of supporting evidence you create an environment where nothing is to be taken seriously.

You create the very environment one claims they would like to end

I'm with you, Rob. I said in a thread months ago when I took a job as adjunct professor years ago the first thing my boss told me was never under any circumstances close my office door with a female student inside.

I was in a position to set grades and particularly in a community college setting there was a lot of unsavory behavior that he wanted to help me avoid.
