It's fairly common knowledge, and I think they've talked about it openly, that they have an open marriage. Though, technically...I think only her portion is open.
I think she's even clowned him openly about not being able to satisfy her. The whole thing is crazy.

What I found most strange is the content of his acceptance speech centering around a calling from god. If Smith is so devout and believes in the concept of man and wife, how can he possibly accept an open marriage? Forgiveness after cheating is one thing but open marriage goes against everything espoused in the Bible
