Charlie Kirk was pro-israel as well.

I know its hard to separate some things, but everything doesn't need to be about Israel/Palenstine.

Sometimes we can unify on the right over something.

This needs to spawn with dozens or more doing Charlie’s work across campus’…they think they silenced him only to multiply him…

I think it will, but most aren't going to be as accepting and calm as Kirk.

My mixed feelings about him just moved towards the positive.

He is Israel-first.

But he is very intelligent and effective in his messaging, and we need that now in Charlie's absence. I'd still rather have Ben on my team than ANY modern liberal influencer or activist.

He is pissed, rightfully, and I hope that he weaponizes it to great effect in his efforts to fill some really big shoes.

Exactly. I applaud him for saying it but no thanks.

Maybe I'm crazy, but when your enemy is shooting you in the throat, I'm not going to be overly picky about people willing to be on my side. I'll take a conservative Jew who is great at debate on my side any day.

He never said he was. It might sound like a Japanese porn when he speaks but he is a class 5 in debate.

No one is. Charlie is 1 of 1.

That being said, it is important for the message to continue on these college campuses, so this would still be a postive IMO.

If I were as smart or charismatic as CK I’d try to pick up that mantle. Unfortunately I am neither.

I will be honest I would not in a million years. I would not want that attention, scrutiny, and sustained hate against myself and my family, so much hate that someone would want to assassinate me

But I have respect for those that choose to withstand it.

Well he probably doesn't have anything to worry about and we all know why. It kind of even makes me a little more suspicious of him

I think Wm. F. Buckley was the first to do the college debate tours but it was usually debating a prof in front of the student body. Kirk was the first to focus on debating students. Ben Shapiro was very good at the typical college speech followed by a lot of Q and A with students who disagreed with him. He should be able to handle the transition to Kirk's format but he's not gonna be able to quote Bible verses like Charlie.

It's hard not to believe that his killing had as much to do with the fact that he was about as far from the caricature these people try to paint conservative "influencers" to be, as you could possibly find. Coupled with the fact that his movement was becoming hugely popular on college campuses.

I am more positive than most on here about Ben, though he can be tiring with some of his takes on Israel.

Is it just me, though, or are his eyebrows getting bigger and darker as he ages?

I mean, he’s getting into Eugene Levy territory these days.
