Ok, so we left the Afghan army billions worth of equipment for the taliban to capture and use on their own people for what reason than dipshit?

Exactly. If we knew this would happen, and we did obviously, we should have taken all equipment worth taking and destroyed the rest.

cliff notes

destroy them within first 3 years

if not GTFO then. not babysit 20 years and watch this shite happen. the whole thing was blown in 2004 when it shoulda been over with taliban being wiped out via conventional or tactical nuclear means. when we were not serious nor gonna do anything to the enemy except nation build we shoulda been long gone.

Suppport the Northern Alliance in wrecking their shite Afghan style. Tell Northern Alliance that whatever land, Taliban and Al Queda prisoners, and property they seize is theirs to do with as they wish. Leave and tell them on the way out "Don't make us come back."

Tell them they don't need to state their preferred pronouns and don't have wave rainbow flags.

As someone posted on twitter:

How to leave a country
- evacuate citizens
- evacuate embassy staff
- pull back military protection
- declare hostitlity over

Biden did this in reverse.

Dubya should have bombed the crap out of the Taliban and called it a day. Not one soldier should have ever stepped foot in that country.

We frankly should have nuked Tora Bora to kill UBL. That’s probably the only thing that would have worked.

Trump is the only president that actually tried to get out and save face. The other three dead no idea what to do.

I would have never sent ground troops in there in the first place. Just use special forces / CIA working with the warlords. Blow that place to hell and sit back and squash anything that needs some explosive loving, but NEVER attempt a ground war there.

If Biden was serious about a pullout. He would have called an expert like kamala.

More coordinated evacuation effort is the only thing.

first you get our civilians out.

then you get out the the locals who want to leave who are going to be rounded up and killed as soon as we're gone.

then military and assets last.

In the beginning, use Reagan's Lybia strategy. Start blowing up key shite everyday at noon until they produced Bin Laden.

Now, as we are leaving, follow Trump's plan which used Truman's method. We are leaving, you do anything aggressive and we wipe the map clean. You keep on and we get another piece of the map.

On or about September 12, 2001, I would have asked the Taliban, nicely, politely to deliver Bin Laden and his inner circle to the United States at the Pakistan border in 72 hours.

Or else.

I would have told them this. We trained your military how to defend yourself. We are leaving now. You can either sink or swim. Let us know how it works out for you.

1). Bombed the hell out of them in 2001 and gone in and killed their leadership.
2). Left in early January, 2002 with tiny earbuds with recording in Pashtune and whatever God forsaken languages the illiterate fricks speak, "Mess around again, find out again"

We could have gotten a much better deal in 2001 than we eventually got, which suggests maybe negotiating then would have been better than the alternative. There is lots I would have done differently. Never going would have been optimal, because it was always going to be a waste. A pointless endeavor, and the groups that helped supply the cash to the Taliban, namely Gulf Arabs, won't ever suffer the consequences due to the sheer amount of money from them in Washington.

get Americans out before Kabul had fallen.

I think everyone wants out (outside of a select few) but literally on Friday the press secretary for the pentagon was saying it would be months before the taliban was in Kabul. Hell even CNN is showing that clip

The ruling class continues to accumulate wealth and power.

And a common reetard would know to get your people out first and destroy any equipment left behind.

At one time you would destroy your equipment so the enemy couldn’t learn our technology.

We give it to them now and pay them to create their own technology to destroy us.

the only thing that could have been done differently would be to have more troops on the ground between 2001-2005 to jeep the insurgents in the south under control, and we could have the used our aid resources to build up the north economically. we should have also put more pressure on karzai to get his government under control. instead the whole country became an afterthought when iraq started and we let the north slowly fall apart while doing a kill, bribe, retreat, lose ground kill again thing in the south. i don't think any other outcome was possible after 2006 or so. we just babysat the inevitable

Nuked it

Never would have put boots on the ground. Kill every man, woman, child, goat, camel, and scorpion.

Poison any water sources. Sterilize any farmable land.
