Got first shot end of April when the Cleveland clinic published their study that it did appear that the vaccines were effective in preventing contraction and transmission.
Waited about 10 weeks to get the second. Just didn't think 3 weeks was necessary based on what I had read.
No side effects.

To be blunt, there are few good ways to die, right? I have no interest in drowning, but I'm not wearing a life jacket the next time I cross a bridge in the off chance it may collapse and I hit the water. At some point, those that have taken the vaccine (includes me) are going to have to accept the fact that there are others who have WILLINGLY ACCEPTED THE RISK, and them move on with their own lives.

Yes the OP definitely seems like a good faith question.
Anyway, despite not being a “militant vaxxer”, I’d take a shot every year if covid remained a threat because I work in healthcare.

Dude, no doctor is infallible. There are great doctors and there are shitty doctors. If you suspect you are getting the wrong medical care get a second opinion.
