They’re not giving him any $.

Several have openly stated that they hate him.

If he’s elected Senator, he will owe them nothing.

He will have zero loyalty to them and they will have no control over him.

If he will owe someone, it will be Trump.

He would definitely be a thorny problem for them.

As much of a problem as a Senator Talarico, they think. So why help?

If the Senate and House go Dem…it’s not good for the rest of Trump’s term.

Not good at all.

The Senate is a club and it’s all about control.

It’s not about getting stuff done.

Remember, it was the Bush family cabal that was behind the effort to impeach AG Paxton. Establishment Republicans are total crap.

Solid strategy to achieve minority leadership and membership on Senate committees.

I'm convinced half of the Sens and Reps in DC would rather be the minority party. Hang out and occasionally do some theatrical performance, but be able to not be held accountable to passing laws because they're the minority party.

Outside of the BBB, the legislative branch really hasn't done shite to help Trump. Everything has been via EO.

But the senate republicans don’t care about trumps next term. They would prefer the democrats have the majority to keep people from blaming them for doing nothing . The Texas seat is the one the republicans senators would not care if the democrat won.

So, the republicans in power would rejoice, and then had to “fight the Dems” in order to get back power, and do nothing.

And the wheel turns around and around again.

And the only reason they passed the BBB is because it was loaded with pork goodies for them.

I guess you asked all of those who voted in favor of passing it, individually, precisely why they voted for it, eh? I’m shocked they were so candid with you. And your access to them is stunning. As they say in some circles, whose d*ck you gotta suck for that kinda access?

Paxton ended the political life of GOPe Prince George P Bush.

Ended it emphatically too.

Beat the Bush Prince by over 30 points.

It should be noted that GPB had twice the funding as Paxton too.

The GOP old guard senses an opportunity here.

There is a battle for control of the Republican Party. Trump has seized most of the control of it but not complete control.

If the Republicans lose the House and Senate, it is seen as a repudiation of Trump and no doubt weakens him and effectively ends the power of his presidency.

That is good for Republicans who don’t like Trump or his power in the party.

Moreover, as I said in op, Paxton is a complete outsider to them and beholden to Trump if anyone. Even more, he’s not welcome.

This election is a test of who has the power in the Republican Party and there are some in the Party that are okay with a L for certain important reasons to them.
