Actually, it’s perfectly phrased

Moving forward, we need to watch, and hold accountable, those 53

I’m hoping that some primary challenges are successful this go round…

Crimminy dude, the Trump administration has delivered radical results. They have upset the entire international trading order with tariffs; they have persecuted woke universities; they extended the massive tax cuts; they have defunded USAID; they have fired thousands of woke bureaucrats; they are sending the National Guard to US cities to quell crime; they are working assiduously on ending the war in Ukraine, and they are putting the final judicial pieces in place to end racial preferences. This is a remarkable amount of achievements in a system of checks and balances such as we have.

So in that case let the left have it all? Kinda a take my ball and go home thing?

I'm all for being a hardass but no way do you let the left own Washington unopposed unless you just want the world to burn.

Granted the party has an obligation and those that dont work you vote their arse out. Not perfect but the best we have.

They should've done this the minute Schumer made it clear that he was going to continue to obstruct Trump's nominees instead of twiddling their thumbs this whole time.

Yes the TRUMP administration is doing everything they can.

The GOP majority Congress is doing absolutely positively nothing but running out the clock until midterms.

Trump is done after 2028.

If we can’t convince Gen Z males that Vance will represent them and improve their lives they will go radical right or socialist.

Senate Republicans, in a unanimous 53–45 vote, invoke the nuclear option

If they want to be extra cvnty, they should set the threshold back to 60 once all Trump's nominees are confirmed.

This was a really dumb move by Thine. He is now going to rue the day like Reid did to the Democrats. He should have just let recess appoints take place if he was considering the nuclear option.

Democrats will gain control of the Senate again and now Republicans have no tools to stop really radical leftist judges. It will now the the craziest of Democrat crazies getting appointments. Judgeships for sale?

This is a really bad move for the long term.

I don't think they should have invoked the nuclear option though. They should have just gone into recess so he could make recess appointments.

Doing it this way makes the appointments permanent at least.

I know nothing of Senate procedure. What is to stop them from setting the threshold back to 60 anytime they want?

I’m saying when systems fail people take actions outside the system.

That can be the rise of actual extreme political movements.
That can be revolutions.
That can be kinetic violence.

We need to show them the system works for them or all they see is a left that hates them, a GOP Congress that at best is worthless and at worst is captured and a MAGA movement without Trump and Charlie Kirk to drive it.

“Senate Republicans” how is that hard for you to discern that’s who the unanimous is they’re talking about?

What will be interesting to see is how the votes go for the respective nominees. "4" Republican no votes will sabotage a nominee.

I don't believe this references the Trump administration. It's the gop party and many republican politicians.

Looks like they finally found their balls.

They'll misplace them again by noon tomorrow.

They know their supporters are furious about Charlie Kirk's assassination so they're trying to play the big man right now. But make no mistake, they're still the feckless cowards they were yesterday. A win is still a win though, and I'll take it.

Yeah but they could have let him make recess appointments and then make them permanent when they got back into session.

Initially I was against doing this, but then I figured regardless of what the Republicans do, the Dems would do it anyway if they get back in power.

true - proper phrasing would be "party-line" vote.
