Comey probably hopes that too. It'll feed his "hero" complex and allow him to be a bit of a martyr. Lots of money to be made here for this guy. Book sales, speaking engagements, talk shows. All that sorta shite.
Personally, I hope this dumb shite goes away ASAP. A book that would've probably been thrown on the clearance table might now turn into be a best seller.

What Comey did, although vulgar and undignified represents the new baseline for American political culture and discourse. I'm grounded in that reality. MAGA needs to toughen the frick up with this shite and stop being so brittle. This is how it is now.

Ok, normally I would show you the courtesy of responding to your entire post, but it's a mix of things, so i'll keep it to the above part of it.
No, Comey wasn't trying to incite anything. What he was trying to do and succeeded at doing was to trigger an over top, histrionic response from MAGA and the administration, and that's exactly what he got. MAGA is a very predictable, emotionally brittle political body.
And I'm well aware of the implications of what he did. Very much so. In fact, I think I've talked about it somewhere in this thread. What he did was vulgar and undignified but savvy as shite. He gets to sell more books, feed his own hero complex, book more speaking engagements and make lots more moolah. He thanks MAGA for its contribution to his good fortune.
But most of all, he now gets to be one of the "political enemies" the Left driven MSM says Trump will target. He's a martyr and Liberal hero now and all it took was a Secret Service interview.
What he did represents the new political baseline in this country regarding political culture and discourse. This is how it is now and there's no going back. I accept it. There's no point in this MAGA indignation. It serves Jim Comey and nothing else.
This is how things are now. All political civility in this country is gone.
