China already wins if the united states breaks up....... why do you think China is the largest donator off the books the these crazies......

That’s on us as much as it is them, but do you think our current situation is sustainable politically or economically? I don’t. That leaves either one side dominating the other or a split.

I would not support staying in the current shared federal structure if the Momdani DSA takes over, period.

That said I think the blue state coalition would fail within 25 years due to economic and population factors.

My concern is specifically that the Chinese would prop them up via predatory loans as they’ve done in Africa and within a generation the red states despite experiencing economic and political success could be dealing with onshore Chinese presence in North America as a result as the Chinese extract resources to pay back the loans.

I’d argue that they may be degreed or credentialed, the product does not scream educated in any meaningful way.

I sure hope so.

If the USA goes Socialist Authoritarian, then I hope that a new Confederate States of America will happen. Then we'll have the US military invading the Southern states again.

All that said, I think if we get to the point where that passes from Congress to the States,

If that passes Congress it would be time to string up some congressmen.

I don't think even our kids and grandkids will have to seriously worry about that. The electoral college will go first and then maybe the senate sometime after that.

Most arguments for the abolishment of the electoral college also work for the abolishment of the senate. The left wants to do both. The path to getting rid of the electoral college is much easier than getting senators to agree to becoming unemployed.

if the US was to break up, i doubt it happens along state lines. need to look more at the county lines. (2024 presidential election by county)

now it becomes Dense urban vs mostly everything else

States should secede

Why? They should leave and write their own Constitution.

States should secede from the United States if the Senate is ever abolished. The Senate was a key feature of the Great Compromise . If abolish, the conditions for the Great Compromise and thus the Union disappear.

Abolishing the Senate would take a constitutional amendment and that is not happening in any of out lifetimes.
