Civil war was awful. So many better ways to handle situations if people actually read and learned from history.

Plenty of examples of peaceful secession in world history. Hell, a form of it happened in Louisiana a few years ago.

Many Sanctuary Cities have already defacto Seceded. Throw in politically partisan DEI Judges and why not just drop the semantics game and call it what it is. It’s more like Balkanization than formal Secession.

That will only happen with a Constitutional amendment or an overthrow of the govt. neither is likely.

Secession is literally not allowed unless approved by either a constitutional amendment, or by the other states. You think the other states are going to let a state run off without paying their share of unfunded liabilities and handing over military assets?

When people talk about secession as if it is a serious possibility I automatically know that person has unremarkable intelligence. The thought of it happening is obviously great but logically there is no path forward if you actually game it out.

Referring to our American Civil War (1861-1865) was horrible as I said.

Maybe this time it will be different right?

I wasn’t there, but by 1863 I bet most people were getting tired of it. Gung-ho at the start though!!

Florida and Texas could. The rest of you would probably be screwed.
bullshite - Georgia would also be just fine

In fact, my money would also be on Tennessee, the Carolinas, Pennsylvania, and Michigan

Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and maybe Arizona & Missouri could also make a pretty good run - if those states banded together, they would be just fine and could probably even carry the rest of the red states

the naysayers of this possibility haven't been paying attention. The commies have been playing the long game for 50-60 years. They know it won't happen anytime soon, but the more they drag down the country, get all the AWFLs riled up, the uneducated morons andd other assorted dems on board to the idea, the more likelyhood of it happening 30-40 years down the road. The patriotic white conservative population is dwindling and will be a minority in 20. Never underestimate the will of communists...

OMG they are going to get rid of the senate!!!!

LMAO. Y'all are idiots.

As a couple have already pointed out, yes it would be a difficult undertaking and the odds are against it but it's not like they are pulling it out of thin air. There are democrat candidates who are calling for abolishing it

This is bullshite - the only reason we have dems winning statewide elections is fraud in Atlanta/Fulton County

America is not divided by State. We are divided urban and rural.

So if Alabama succeeds from America then Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile will succeed from Alabama.

Just add N Carolina and remove MO and just keep the SEC nation together.

The problem with that idea is that you have very red states that have very blue major metro areas. And deep blue states with rural areas that are as conservative as rural Alabama and Mississippi.

There’s no way to have a clean split when the divide is more rural vs urban instead of state by state
