What he really means is: He wants illegals and felons to vote.

Link from The Hill

quote:

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) announced Monday that he is introducing a legislative package that would repeal voter identification requirements and implement no-excuse absentee voting.

The package also addresses campaign finance, proposing to limit large campaign contributions, ban contributions made directly by corporations and businesses and ban the use of campaign funds for personal use.

quote:

Northam said in a statement announcing the legislation that the package would "encourage every eligible voter to exercise" their right to vote.
“Participation makes our democracy strong — we should encourage every eligible voter to exercise this fundamental right, rather than creating unnecessary barriers that make getting to the ballot box difficult,” Northam said.

and MSM laps this shite up and spits it back out like he's some constitution saving hero.

Sickening.

We need to get back to the constitution's intent where only land owners can vote.

LA has had voter ID laws since at least the 1980s and things go off without a hitch.

Virginia is already lost until the federal government shrinks considerably. This is just them shoring up there gains.

If you are over 18 you are eligible. Doesn’t matter if you are a felon, an illegal, or dead.

I was born, raised and live in the Commonwealth. I love this place whether the natural beauty, or the history that is around every corner. But the traditional values are eroding so fast.

But things like this keep reinforcing that god willing, when I retire, it will be somewhere not VA

And Ralph passed himself off as a moderate.

Considering that way the government believes they own everything, we would still be in the same boat now, but I do agree with your statement, but the federal government is slightly more intrusive than they were when the Constitution was ratified.

Maybe the non-coastal areas of the state should see if they could join with WV.

Not exactly a prime plan but better than being DC Heights.

We have plenty of loopholes to keep the dead voting.

In this day of modern technology, I don’t see any reason why there are absentee votes at all. There seems to me no excuse for why our government cannot provide a voting booth at every Embassy. now that we have early voting There’s no excuse for why you can’t vote in your precinct either. Absentee voting is where all the voter fraud is.

Katrina helped fix that.

Kind of hard to pretend there are a ton of people in NOLA who couldn’t be accounted for during or after the evacuation.

Considering the government can take your land whenever they want there really aren't any landowners in the country.

Fellon's should be able to vote. If you served your time there shouldn't be stipulations on you returning back to society or what was the point of serving your time.
