I assume BRC is coming this week

Almost everyone I have seen believes they will punt on the actual issue and make it about the EO, unfortunately

Of course Roberts and Barrett side with the liberals to allow ballots to be received post election day.

Yeah... that's an ouch

Absentee ballots need to be postmarked by election day but can be received up to 5 days post-election day

At least 5 days, right.

Nothing prohibits 100 days or 1000 days in the opinion? Serious question

From the SCOTUSblog

quote:

Alito says that today's decision "creates a serious risk of further undermining public confidence in our elections and our system of self-government."

Barrett does note that Congress can change this and this is just a narrow reading of the statute. Time for Congress to get off their arse and move up the deadline to election day. Mail your shite early if that's a problem.

Meter isn't the same.

The issue is that USPS does a shot job postmarking mail.

Hence, Trump's EO

ACB and Roberts forcing the Senate to pass the SAVE Act. True patriots.
