My son had to get an ID to play football when he was 9 and we had to go to the DMV 3 times. They didn’t accept his birth certificate the 1st time, because it didn’t match where we lived. The second time the type of mail was wrong it needed to be from a utility company. DMV could have told us the 1st, but they didn’t
Something that should have taken a few hours took about 10 days. We had to go to the health department and get a new Birth Certificate and then we had to go to city utilities and have them send us mail, because we are paperless.
The DMV makes it harder than it should be. My friend that works at the DMV said she would have taken what we had the 1st time, but a lot of the DMV employees are strict.
