Sadly, there's more logical support for Smith planning 9/11 from that text than there is logical support for Smith colluding with Willis in the texts Schmitt showed at the hearing.

That was my point. People already have their mind made up about Smith.
Yesterday's hearing was called by REPUBLICANS to scream at Smith for things we've heard before...but which haven't led to ANY arrest or prosecution by Trump's DOJ.
Schmitt is no exhibit A for Trump haters about why the midterms are so important...the Schmitts in Congress have to be removed to weaken Trump. It was just a spectacularly stupid political stunt.
Personally, I lost respect for Grassley for not making Schmitt share the text with the witness and with the entire committee. Totally bush league.
