Besides governor this is the most important race on the ballot. LINK

Crain seems to be the Edwards candidate. Liljeberg is backed by gumbo pac.

Some good people I know are supporting Schlegel... probably where I am placing my vote.

Your math doesn't compute.

The Gumbo Pac is Edwards biggest supporting pac. No way they would split.

Liljeberg = trial attorney support

Both Schlegel and Crain have received conservative and business support.

This may be more important than the Gov's race.

Unless they needed to.

Liljeberg and Schlegel come from the same area, and the election outlook was really looking good for Schlegel and not so hot for Crain. Enter a bunch of money and Liljeberg's announcement that he would run after previously saying he would not run. Completely plausible that someone wanting Crain to win would back Liljeberg to dilute Schlegel's support.

This is all you need to know.

He's being put up there solely to be the deciding vote for the legacy suits against O & G.

My wife and I voted Schlegel and he is a great guy by all accounts from those who I know that know him and an excellent jurist.

I am told Crain is the only "republican" on one of the Edward's black ballot being circulated around by preachers.

Is this true?

Are you stupid? The guy hasn’t even served a complete term at the DISTRICT court level, much less the appeals court, and you think he’s good for the Supreme Court?

Not to mention his campaign finance report is like a Who’s Who of the worst car wreck attorneys.

CRain. He’s a home grown solid conservative judge with great experience.

You’re literally brain dead.

I support Schlegel for SpCrt but mostly because I don't want him on the bench in 24th JDC.

He's the most conservative judge I've ever come across, and I know that will make you guys cum, but its not a compliment. Would be the same for the most liberal judge I've ever come across. Just be fair, not partisan.

Link? Schlegel has been a virtual non-entity in the race from the beginning because any thinking person knows how ridiculous it is that he’s even running.

Preputual thorn in Edwards side Arden Wells posted a pic of the Trip Parish Minister's Ballot on Facebook. In the pic all of the Edwards machine candidates on the ballot and so is Crain.

They pretty much do as told by the Edwards machine I suspect.

Anyone the Edwards support I do not.

These cats practice a LOT in the 24th. They need to be "on record" supporting him in case he loses.

That isn't why.

They want him off the bench in 24th because he fricks over every single one of them. Trust me.

So they give him tens of thousands of dollars when he’s never been even been a noticeable threat in the election? Nah, they’re just putting honey in the pot, and he’s taking it hand over fist. Funny how elections are like legal payoffs.

To try and get him off the bench? Yes.

Trust me when I say, I know this.

Their donations won't effect Schlegel ruling. He is the very definition of staunch conservative.
