You can't make this stuff up. They want a registry for everything except aborted children and illegal immigrants.

His name should be the first on a voluntary registry, and he can start sending all of the money he doesn't want to the government immediately.
-Will never happen- because the point is to have the government force everybody to do it with the threat of legal repercussions. Voluntary participation is not good enough, because that's not state sponsored Marxism.

The only difference between Sanders, Warren and Xi is that the former two won't have the billionaires they want to fleece killed.

it is already out there. Pick a publicly traded company and look up their board of directors.

He thinks they'll raise $4.35 trillion. My guess would be close to $300 billion over that same time period and a wild trend of capital flight.

I'm not nearly wealthy enough to even approach the radar for his scheme, and I'd be moving and hiding what I have.
When the wealthy "disappear" their wealth, the scale will start to slide down.

More government, more taxes, taking your guns, eliminating your health insurance options, forced acceptance of “progressive” morals, decriminalizing undocumented immigration, allowing mass Muslim immigration...
Ah hell naw...

Just like a gun registry, reckon how long before they are coming to seize that wealth?

I would love to know the answer plan on how the govt intends to value all the illiquid assets wealthy people own and how he intends to force people to pay when they might not have the cash available.
Force them to sell a minority share of their company or force them to sell a building or some land and sell to who exactly?
I’d also love to see the revenue estimates and how they deal with the fact that that amount will reduce significantly every single year as more is confiscated by the govt. How will they keep paying for all this free stuff? (Hint: upper middle class 401ks are next)

The tax rate would start at 1 percent on net worth of more than $32 million and rise with income above that, topping out at 8 percent on wealth over $10 billion.
8% huh?
Someone would have to gain at least 12%/year just to keep up with the 8%, inflation and taxes.
Interesting.

It's like something out of a low budget post apocalypse movie. The democrat party has become everything the old classic liberal thinkers used to warn us about and the modern liberal supports every bit of it. Disgusting

No worries commrade. This is all a bunch of B.S. to hype up his base and go after Warren's supporters. The logistics of a wealth tax are so laughable it's not even funny. It's also highly unconstitutional.

I just love how the left fights for equal treatment for all... except for when they don’t want equal treatment for all.

We already have a wealth registry, it is called the IRS
The tax rate would start at 1 percent on net worth of more than $32 million and rise with income above that, topping out at 8 percent on wealth over $10 billion.
1% tax is peanuts and probably not a bad idea if it gets spent in a reasonable and rational way. Problem is the Republicans spent just as much on crap as the Democrats do. I would like to see a "wealth" tax levied on both the House and Senate as all these fat cats are extremely wealthy on jobs that don't support that kind of income.
Need some Scottish bankers in Washington to squeeze every dollar out of tax revenue to really fix this country.
USA should be a leader in...

Health Care

Exploration - should have been on Mars 20 years ago
Housing
Job Creation - local markets and local populations
(not shipping jobs over seas or letting robots take jobs - robots don't pay taxes)

Assuming those subject to the tax don't pick up and leave, which is a huge assumption, wouldn't revenues from this thef... er tax decline sharply year over year?

All those people with all that money don't know what they are doing with it. they should just let me manage it for 0.25%

Why would they trust a commie with their money?

Of course, it will only be a simple step to next ban anyone on the wealth registry from owning any of the weapons/guns on the gun registry. And the wealth registry would gradually drop to anyone who can afford to buy a gallon of milk.
