I don't see why places like that even employ "security guards". Especially since in most cases they are told to just let people go in situations like that. It must be just for optics.
I remember when I was visiting DC a few years back, there were DC cops inside the store monitoring. Of course this Walgreen's I was in, was in chinatown, so that was likely the reason.

Same is true in Seattle. Watched a documentary about their 'homelessness' problem. I would bet this is the case in Portland and NY and other cities as well.
Some conservative and even not so conservative folks say this over and over and they are absolutely correct: get out of the cities. New York, LA, Seattle, SF are crashing and it will take decades to recover if ever. They are and are becoming more and more absolute shitholes no decent people should live or deserve to live in nor support with tax dollars.
