Drew Brees is going to bend the knee?

You know, I'm honestly surprised he's caught up in this absurdity. This will end very very poorly for him and the NFL. Whatever you want to call it, they are protesting something about the USA on foreign soil which never ever ends well. Rich, spoiled, entitled athletes protesting despite their glamorous and affluent lives is just going to be an awful look for the NFL.

It's an embarrassment to us all as they in a way represent all of us over there. I agree with ShortyRob, I selfishly hope they continue, 2018 and 2020 would be a clean sweep.

The NFL will keep printing money, and Brees will keep drowning in endorsement deals. The horror!

Exactly how I feel. The Saints and the NFL are dead to me. There is nothing they could do to make me give a shite about them again.

I was pleasantly surprised last weekend with how much I was able to accomplish on Sunday without the NFL. I brush hogged 10 acres, treated 10 pecan trees for aphids, pulled out a stump and changed the front axle oil on my John Deere tractor.

frick the NFL. I will be watching college football tomorrow and doing more work on Sunday.

It's not stupid and shouldn't be "annoying"; unless you think people's political beliefs are. Because Politics - unlike Football or any other entertainment form - DIRECTLY AFFECTS very critical aspects of everybody's life. Politics shapes the Culture, by the Laws it writes and kinds of beliefs and behaviors it promotes or discourages.

It was Politics that wrote Laws (good intentions, nws) that encouraged Black Men not to MARRY and be there for the kids; and now the kids wantonly kill each other over *respect* or petty bs. And when the Cops come in to maintain safety for the good folk...psychos like Mike Brown have to taken out lest the Law die in their place. And if that were to happen very much, and it became a Race issue...Vigilantism would not be far behind; progressing right on into our worst (race-war) nightmare. It happens all the time across the Globe; we ain't special.

It is Politics that sent 150 BILLION cold cash/gold to Islamist who despise our Culture and Constitutional Ideology and are committed to "death to America". They are using that money to build the a-bombs and missiles right now.

This Nation is SPLIT down the middle, in regard to those who believe and promote a Government/top down/Elitist/Fascist Rule all encompassing (income equality at the fore, I.e., Marxism) form of Governance...and the 'race card' has been successfully played in the last ten years by Obama/Dem Party/Progressive Globalist Ideologues.

And the Black folk have stood behind the Progressive Political Ideologues at a NINETY PLUS per cent clip. And from OJ...to Barack, to Hillary Clinton...many Whites now realize that it's gloves off. That is exactly why they elected Trump. And if this *Trump* don't turn things around...the next *Trump* will be what many Leftist imagine this one is. A hard and merciless individual...leading a hard and merciless population.

Both the Players, Organizations that support Progressive Ideology, and people of good will and civic responsibility who formerly think they can "just play football" or whatever...had best think hard and educate themselves before choosing their Politics. When Politics fails...the next step is war. And there won't be rules or refs.

Trump needs to get the best of our Black men out front and center. We are losing our grip. The NFL might be a good place to find them. They'll have to be the real thing though. Angry won't cut it.

So you cheer that a team is disgracing the flag, yet you want to use an emoji flying the flag as praise?? How ironic! just like the rest of the deplorable liberal group!

How are they disgracing the flag if they stand during the anthem?

What is the problem with kneeling before and standing during?

So it actually makes total sense that most behave like sheep when it comes to expressing views on anything but football. See Lebron's "Voters was not educated" comment.

This point can never be restated enough.

A friend already cancelled $50K worth of suites due to last week. I can't wait to see how much more they lose after this weekend.

They're in damage control mode. The only reason they're kneeling before is because of the fan backlash from last week. Doubling down on stupid because even if its not during the anthem, its viewed as joining the original BLM anti-cop bullshite that most of America was against even before Kaepernick's protesting started

It's not the Trump anthem, it's the US national anthem. It's a completely hollow gesture if not accompanied by a clear message of what you want to change and how. And if you communicated that, you wouldn't have to risk coming off as hating on America to so many fans with vague gestures. Two Titans employees were on my flight back to Nashville this week, and I saw a gentleman go up to then and ask them to tell the players he will never watch or attend another one of their games again. He said he had just been to the Alamo and saw what it meant to fight for something, and that he felt not showing up at all for the anthem last game was nothing but disrepectful. I think this has turned into a circus and now has nothing to do with whatever people are supposedly sitting or kneeling for. So if people have something to say and want things to change, stand up, speak up, and ditch the hollow gestures. You're causing way more harm than good.
