This will end very very poorly for him and the NFL.
The NFL will keep printing money, and Brees will keep drowning in endorsement deals. The horror!

Nothing to see here folks! It's perfectly normal for administrations to have about one major official per month leave in shame.

Not a single Saints player had protested before or during the national anthem prior to Trump's comments. At least 10 Saints sat for the anthem last week, and this week they'll even have golden boy Drew Brees kneeling even if it is before the anthem.
So fricking hilarious watching y'all try to twist this into a win.

Well, he does, but only until the press finds out about it! Sure, the White House approved Price's expensive military plane trips, but in their defense, that was BEFORE they knew the press would find out about it!

Anthem kneeling is one of the most easily ignorable protest forms I’ve ever seen. It’s been hilarious to watch the Trump crowd go out of their way to be offended by it.
Sorry this form of protest isn’t PC enough for the Trumpkins out there. Maybe they should write Goodell and ask him to put a trigger warning on NFL broadcasts to let them know when they should close and reopen their eyes.

Even Price has flown commercial for business at least sometimes as secretary. The idea that they can’t or that it’s not safe for them is laughable.

Yes, that's called draining the swamp.
Trump really is the tough law and order president. I hear his next move will be to tell all bank robbers that he doesn’t like what they’re doing at all, and that their punishment if caught will be to return the money and promise not to rob any more banks.
re: Anyone dumb enough on this board to deny Trump won NFL war in 1 week?
Posted by TigahFrosh on 9/29/17 at 10:23 am to CAD703X
You really think NO players will be kneeling anymore?
Before Trump started shite, a handful of players were kneeling.
After Trump started shite, a lot of players kneeled, in direct defiance of Trump.
Now, even this week, several teams are locking arms, others plan to kneel before the anthem, and players that were already kneeling before Trump decided to use this as a cheap applause line will continue kneeling during the anthem (a la Eric Reid).
Trump won so bigly he got more players to kneel (at least for a week or two), hasn’t stopped anyone from kneeling who already was, hasn’t gotten any player fired, lowered his already abysmal approval rating, and spent the last week healthcare could pass with 50 votes talking about football...

Trump told the NFL to get in line...and they are doing so.
How? Trump bitched about kneelers, which caused more players to kneel in defiance, and now most of those who were kneeling in response to Trump will stop and the few that were kneeling before will continue to. Literally nothing will have changed...
Well, except that Trump’s approval rating dropped a few point and he’ll have spent the final couple of weeks that the GOP had to pass healthcare cursing at athletes instead of promoting his supposed agenda.

re: Chuck Todd thinks the Constitution grants you rights

Slavery is unconstitutional. Slavery is also biblical. There are biblical laws regarding slavery, and those laws are not, “don’t own slaves”.
So, if you want to argue, as Moore does, that all of our rights come from the Christian God of the Bible, then you cannot also believe that liberty is a right even for people not convicted of a crime.

I am sure stubhub is running a promotion because ticket sales are going so wonderfully and they would never throw in nhl tickets to hide the real reason for the promotion or anything like that.
:rotflmao:
And the many times StubHub has offered similar promocodes in the past, it wasn't at all an attempt to attract new users to the site in the hopes that they might pay full price for tickets in the future. Clearly that was also just a preemptive part of the coverup that they implemented on the off chance some future president decided to use a campaign rally to start shite with professional athletes.

Also, hate to break it to you and high IQ, but Spence made more on one contract than you’ll earn in your entire life, so I doubt his dad will be hurting for money based on losing a single construction job, haha.

The increase in 2009 was because of Obama's recovery plan which didn't lead to recovery.
Wrong. The 2009 fiscal year began in October 2008. The CBO projected deficit for 2009 was well over $1 Trillion before Obama ever took office or any stimulus package was implemented. Don’t believe me? Ask the hyper conservative CATO institute. LINK
Obama inherited a $1 Trillion + deficit and brought it back down to
2008 comparable levels.
Now Republicans are proposing actions that will blow it right back up again.
Clinton inherited a government that was running $500 billion deficits and he handed down a government that was running a fricking surplus. Bush inherited a government running a surplus and handed down a government running a Trillion dollar deficit. Obama inherited a trillion dollar deficit and brought it down to the ~$600 Billion that is this year (up very slightly from last year). Now Trump wants to run it right back up.

Like Democrat policy? I'd like for you to try and point out where Democrats cared about Obama's spending in 8 years. The OP's point is to point out the blatant hypocrisy of pretending to care about the middle class. Sad you don't recognise that, but unfortunately it doesn't surprise me
During Obama’s eight years as president, part of which the Dems controlled both Houses, most of which they controlled the Senate, they steadily reduced the deficit.
Now, a Republican President, Senate, and House want to take actions that will increase the deficit, completely reversing the trend of deficit reduction that theyve accomplished in the past 8 years, and you say its hypocritical for Dems to oppose that...
I’ve spelled it out for you multiple times now. I originally thought the problem was just that you didn’t understand economics or even simple finances, but it seems reading comprehension may be your more fundamental deficiency. Still, you seem to be able to form nearly complete thoughts at least some of the time, so I’m sure if you spend an hour or so googling words like “deficit”, “debt”, “budget”, “expenses”, “revenue”, and maybe throw “hypocrisy” in there too since you seem to struggle with that one as well, you’ll be able to figure out how the claims of your original post are based on ignorance.
Congratulations, you have an opportunity to improve yourself and your understanding of the world, and with only minor effort! I’m happy for you, friend. Godspeed!

You very clearly don’t understand the difference between the debt and the deficit. As a result, the claims of your post are verifiably false (e.g. deficit doubling under Obama).
Your post is simple alright. Simple, ignorant, and wrong.

Firstly, the deficit decreased under Obama.
Secondly, you are clearly confusing deficit and debt.
Thirdly, the debt grew under Obama, but not disproportionately compared with other modern presidents.
Fourthly, the Republican plan, which will increase the deficit, will result in an increasing rate of growth for the debt, meaning it will grow faster under Trump than it did under Obama.
And finally, please take some time to learn at least the basic terminology of the economy (debt, deficit, surplus, gdp, etc) as well as some basic math (fractions, rates of change, etc) before trying to argue about it. You’ll save everyone, including yourself, a lot of time in the long run.
Cheers!
