Anyone who followed this has a tl;dr of the evidence that was presented at this trial?

Everyone agrees on the facts except was the anal sex consensual. If it wasn’t, that’s rape. If it was, it isn’t rape.

No this what u get when u rape women for 20 yrs and there’s no consequences for victims who come forward, stop it with the poor rapist is the victim

There's this thing called "presumption of innocence". Unfortunately, when you wait to make allegations 20 years later, there is rarely any evidence except the victim's word. I would rather someone be exonerated for a crime they committed than to imprison someone who was innocent.

right. Just trying to figure out what evidence presented to sway the jury one way or the other.

Surprised that he humped 6 different women. Thought he was gay.

What if Brand is the victim here?

The only two who will ever know are Brand and the complaintant.

And on the evidence given—if there's not more than that to go on—he easily could be the victim of false testimony.

He brought this on himself because he was a shitbag who got way too aggressive with women and took liberties he had no business taking.

Very serious situation.

I know the UK or no other country in western Europe has capital punishment, but if he had been found guilty in Louisiana 70 years ago for this very crime, he would have gotten the CHAIR.

The odds are with Brand in any rational country....she let him vigorously penetrate every other opening in her person.

Were you there?

They didn't say it was a threesome.

He said/she said. Typically in these cases there is testimony from one of her friends that she told her about the rape at the time. But that could be a friend lying for her buddy.

How in the world can a jury find him guilty when these are the facts surrounding the incident?

Believe All Women

A lot of you more Hugh Hefner types will balk, but your best bet will always be to keep your wick dry, date girls that are as traditional as possible, then marry them. I know how hard that path is getting, believe me. I have two sons whose futures I worry about constantly. But its still by far the best way.

He was convicted by a jury of his peers, chosen by his attorneys, not some radical judge
