They should be scared for lots of reasons with Rubio, mainly because he’ll be the most accomplished and reasonable candidate we’ve seen in quite some time

Vance would be a total disaster as President. Vance might be ok if the job was just about pursuing a domestic agenda and solving domestic problems. Unfortunately though foreign policy and handling world affairs is a major part of being President. Vance would be an abject failure in the foreign policy matters.

Wrong. There is plenty of evidence. JD was pretty much put in charge of the negotiations with Iran because Iran contacted Trump through back channels and ask for him to be put in charge. Iran went through a 3rd party and had them to tell Trump that they had pretty much lost faith in Witkoff and Kushner and wanted JD Vance to head negotiations for the United States. I can remember hearing that story in the media at the time. The fact that Iran asked for Vance to be put in charge of negotiations tells you a lot. It tells me that Iran took the measure of the man and sees him as weak. Iran was not asking Trump to put him in charge because Vance is well respected by them. It’s right the opposite. When Iran is requesting a person by name to head the US negotiating team it’s not a a good thing.
Also JD Vance was one of the main people in Trump’s ear advocating not to go to war in Iran. There is nothing wrong with that in and of itself but once Trump ordered the first strikes in Iran then it was time to shift policy and advise the President on strategies on how to win the war. Vance, the Muslim countries in the Middle East, and Europe were all pushing Trump to commit to a ceasefire and negotiate a deal knowing Iran has never kept a bargain with the United States since this regime came to power. We were destroying this regime and Vance was one of the main advocates to stop winning the war in favor of pursuing a deal that will be worthless just as soon as Trump leaves office if we are lucky enough to get them to wait that long before setting this deal on fire. Vance resembles Joe Biden a lot in this situation. Biden was the only person to advise Obama to not go after UBL. Pushing for a deal when this regime is on the ropes is Biden level weak and Biden level stupid.
