First, I am not 100% sure that DeSantis is running. But, he has been fantastic for Florida and is brilliant in what he has done here.
He possesses all of the qualities that make him a leader.
With that said, I am not sure that Vance isnt the better candidate. He has been brilliant on the national stage and shows every sign of continuing in the fight for a better America. We have a few years before things have to be decided (heck... what if they impeach Trump and are succesful? Vance is president...do they want that????) Remember we did not want Kamala...

All Ron has to do is fluff Trump and the seals will fluff Ron again. Just like with Vance.

I really don't think anyone is in the mood now or later for an ugly Republican primary. Even Marco Rubio has said he will not leapfrog JD Vance. Not everyone feels this way
You'd think RD would read the room after 2024.

Ron is a dinosaur. He would have been against the invention of the car and the cotton gin, too. Had he been around during that time.
You can support AI ingenuity but also have grave reservations about it’s potential pitfalls.

What AI are we talking here because my phone is using AI as I type this.

If Trump endorses Vance, it will be silly for any other Republican to run against him.
Unfortunately.
Unfortunately.

It’s funny how hardcore MAGA won’t let go of the Ron hate just bc he ran against Trump yet completely brushes away the fact Vance was a full on never-Trumper a few years ago
Its also funny how you ronbot cult members cry about MIGA and Adelson funding when Ron is the #1 Isreal first candidate. Hypocrites
Roadturd was just crying like a bitche about Adelson a few weeks ago

It seems there is a conflict.

They wont ever admit it or be honest. Its why everyone despises that cult of clowns

Dinosaurish talking here.
Desantis isn’t the first person to say machines will take your jobs.

DeSantis dines with Miriam Adelson and other megadonors in Jerusalem
The point was DeSantis took the same money Trump did. Yet only Trump is called out in their OMB frenzy.

Gov. Ron DeSantis considers Israel to be the root of Western civilization, and says that without Judaism and Christianity, our nation wouldn’t exist.
“You could trace back the history of Western civilization all the way back to the ancient state of Israel and the birth of both Judaism and Christianity, and we wouldn’t have the United States of America if it didn’t trace back to that,” the Governor told interviewer Mark Levin on Tuesday.

Whomever you vote for in 2028, I'm voting against.

Whatever we dont do with AI, countries with no ethics like China will. So either stay in it and ahead of the curve or let Chinese build our doom. You pick.

Ron got like $500k from Adelson vs Trump getting $100 million.

DeSantis had his chance and he blew it.

I think DeSantis has done a good job as Governor of Florida. I don't want him as President. One primary reason is that he totally threw President Trump under the bus by running in 2024. If Donald Trump had not endorsed him, DeSantis would have never been elected Governor. Hell, many of his campaign ads were all about how much he loved Trump.
But RD decided to run in 2024, anyway. Not only that, he turned on Trump. An interviewer asked him about all the indictments about Trump. Instead of saying they were politically-motivated and bogus, which he should've said, DeSantis replied that he would be inclined to follow what Gerald Ford did with Nixon and pardon President Trump. TOTAL bullshite!
Besides, Ron DeSantis couldn't even separate himself from the likes of Nikki Haley and Chris Christie in 2024. Does anybody really think he would fare well running against the likes of a Vance or a Marco Rubio?

“The idea of this transhumanist strain, that somehow this is going to supplant humans and this other stuff, we have to reject that with every fiber of our being.”
I agree with this. Transhumanism will destroy what makes us human. But you can have AI without transhumanism.
quote:
“We as individual human beings are the ones that were endowed by God with certain inalienable rights. That’s what our country was founded upon — they did not endow machines or these computers for this.”
Who's talking about giving human rights to a software program? I agree with the statement, but I haven't heard a single person talk about giving an AI program the same rights as a citizen.
We also have to look at AI on a global level. Do we want to allow our country to fall behind others? Look at the difference between 4th gen and 5th gen fighters. Do we really want to take the risk of China beating us to the next generation of AI? We wouldn't be able to stop it just like they can't stop our 5th gen fighters.
If you put too many restrictions on AI, we will lose in the long run.
