Not as UNcommon as you would think.

Interesting (and childish) viewpoint, from a poster that I would bet a significant sum has not seen his 30th birthday… and probably not his 25th.
I think I hit a nerve.

So... you're saying that you get your arse regularly handed to you by someone who probably hasn't turned 25 yet? Interesting...

Fiscal conservatism is dead.

"Conservatives" care more about what people do in their bedrooms than a small limited government.

i gobbled that shite up in the 90s. But then came the 2000s when they had 4 years of both houses and POTUS but yet the government grew and so did the debt.

I still vote for them bc it's not like the opposition is small government either.

The left has been waging, and winning, a cultural war for decades. Fiscal conservatism doesn't mean anything because it's not "real" to so many people. What's "real" are the social issues that people face every day in families, schools, on social media, etc.

We've been experiencing cultural rot for a long time and "fiscal conservatives" think it's no big deal.

volcanictiger is an idiot, surprised she didn't tell you to go back to the trailer park and hide.
Still seething over that, and emailing Chicken about how I could have figured out your living situation?

2500 posts in less than 7 months? she has nothing else to do but belittle people while living in her parents basement.
"She"? Is that another part of your fantasy?

Not sure how long it takes you to find all the letters on the keyboard, but 7 months is about 18 million seconds, and that clearly isn't enough time for you to post 2500 posts. For me, that equates to about 7 minutes a day, since I don't have to look up polysyllabic words on the public library's slow dial-up internet like you do.

You being mad or frustrated at your inadequacies does not equate to my lack of intelligence or younger age... but sure, pretend that I'm the one out of touch with reality.

If you just want a holy war thread then just say so. No need to try to frame it as an honest question.

So you are gleefully disobedient to God? Jesus has given us His Church for our own good, to build us up and to build up other brothers and sisters in the faith. He has given us pastors, elders, and deacons, in an orderly and organized establishment. We are supposed to meet together. To help each other. To grow in maturity in the faith. To participate in the sacraments.

There is so much in the Bible that assumes that were are to be part of the church in a formal way, not just sitting on a boat thinking about a god of our own imaginations.

’m guessing that you think “Conservative” means low taxes.

That and I believe in a strict interpretation of the Constitution. I'm betting I'm far more conservative regarding the 2nd Amendment than most you. "Shall not be infringed" means just that. No restrictions. And none of this stuff like prior felons being being forbidden from owning firearms. Once you've served your debt to society then all rights should be restored.

And I can make a legitimate case against abortion and things like trans surgery for minors without bringing religion into it. It's not difficult.

This is where I’m at

I try to live a good life, be kind and courteous to all I meet

Grew up southern baptist and forced to go to church no matter what and now that I have my own freedom, I’ve fallen out of all of that. It just felt so phony like going through the motions to me , everyone puts their church face on and acts so holy because that’s what you’re supposed to do on sundays

Sure. So can I. But you can’t do it without some appeal to Natural law.

So do Muslims who stone their little sisters when they get knocked up. "Good" means that there's a standard. What's yours? What's it based on?
