I probably passed you in the hall there at EUCOM at some point. I was down there almost weekly working on several CONPLANs.
I loved getting stuck in all the staus on the A8

Their downfall is bc of two things.
1. Leftist trash
2. Not enough highlights

I set my land speed record at 154mph on the A8 returning from Munich to Stuttgart. I wouldn't trust the old girl at that speed these days.

I with you. I will only watch the actual sporting events. I also can't stand their radio shows w/ the possible exception of Dan Lebetard.

They seem to cover many more events today than in the past. I wonder what their operating costs are.

Their decline has nothing to do with them being leftists.
It actually has everything to do.
I fricking quit watching it for that very reason.
I cut off satellite altogether. I'm tired of the propaganda being shoved down my kids and my throat.
I'm sick of the media. Im sick of celebrities telling me what the frick to this k or do.
I watch the Andy Griffith show. Old 80s sitcoms. Old movies from classic cinema. Amd some news.
I read the rest. The kids and I come in from outside at dark.
We play, work, cook outside. They fricking love it.
We sleep like a bear. No more screen mind control shite.
We read. I taught myself to design apps (first one going on Google market soon) and willearn the guitar next. Been looking for a camper for us to take out.
It's fricking liberating. You should try it

I used to watch sports center exclusively while getting ready for work and while falling asleep. I don't watch it at all. I can't stand the leftist push and the constant advertisements and sponsorships of the show segments between commercials.
Well, when Keith Olberman was the darling of ESPN before becoming a whiny/driveling bitch on MSNBC that should have given everyone a good idea of what a POS media outlet they were/are!

Only thing I watch ESPN for is LSU and saints games, other than that I agree I don't even watch NFL network any more.

Reality.

ESPN was entirely to blame for an 11% drop in the company's cable operating income to $864 million. Other cable networks were flat.

I hit 155 regularly when I was going back to my apartment in Schweinfurt on the weekend from Mannheim on the A81 (the Company I took command of moved from Mannheim to Schweinfurt right after I left USAREUR and took command). My "cruising" speed was 120
That particular stretch of autobahn was brand new and hardly traveled at the time....it was glorious.

I don't watch espn anymore because it is no longer what it used to be: about sports and an enjoyable pastime where we could get away from pain in the arse subjects like political opinion, preaching, social and political agendas.
X2
Used to watch sportscenter twice a day, have not bothered in a while now.

So the article seems to imply that the fall in revenue may be a result of the broader movement of consumers from cable to streaming services (unplugging), but you seem to think it's political. What's that based in?
The best part about streaming services is that I can choose my programming down almost to the individual channel. My family used Sling. First, we dropped ESPN after college football, and then we dropped Sling altogether. So your streaming services argument is just the tip of the iceberg.

It's a big reason why I don't watch anything but actual sports on the network.

When didn't Espn lean left?
Sports journalism has been a left leaning mouthpiece for at least the last twenty years. That time frame is as long as I have been paying attention to them outside of actual sports.

The decline of ESPN has more to do with their shift towards entertainment segments/shows and away from highlights than any political message being pushed.
Sportscenter for example was 90% highlights in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Now they spend far more time talking about sports than they do showing them.
