Haven't made up my mind yet, but glad to see a (hopefully) real challenge to the bi-polar world we have now.

It won’t affect much and I doubt states even put him on the ballot as it’s typically R, D & Libertarian.

I think he'll grab an unusual amount of moderates from both sides.

I feel like he would be good in terms of pushing back against the deep state (whatever that means) but would suck everywhere else.

wasn't there a statement from his internal polling that they knew an independent run would hurt Trump?

This will hurt Trump more than Biden..puts things right back where the non-legal vote counting can swing things.

There are requirements to get on the ballot, states can't just unilaterally decide not to allow someone to run.

In Ohio, I think you need 5,000 signatures.

He's going to be a problem for both sides if they don't kill him too.

Dogmatic opposition is just as dangerous as dogmatic loyalty.

Well said!

Another Ross Perot. Siphon off just enough votes to give the Democrats a win.

A deal for what? RFK Jr is an open critic of Biden and this new socialist democratic party. He's already said he wants no place in a corrupt system, he wants to change the system.

Now can he is another argument.

Another argument is how many true independents would support a 3rd party/independent party candidate even if they person didn't hold all of their views but is willing to have open true discussions with all sides?

IMO a real candidate outside the two party (uniparty) system has to start somewhere but also IMO most people aren't as independant and anti-uniparty as they project or even may think.

Ross Perot didn't come from a long history of being a Democrat and a family that is practically the very embodiment of the party. His views were much more aligned to traditional conservative principles of minimalist and accountable government.

Aside from a rabid criticism of the establishment and media complex, what does he offer that will take more from the right than the left?

I would imagine that if this were the case it would be because only moderate conservatives would be willing to vote for him, as no democrat would stray from the party position of vote for who we tell you to.

Mathematically all he needs to do is win 1/3 of each political party and win the independents.

45 x .33 = 14.85 x 2 = 29.7 (R’s and D’s)
10 x .6 = 6 (I’s)
29.7 + 6 = 35.7% for Kennedy

100 - 35.7 = 64.3/ 2 = 32% for the R and D candidates.

It’s mathematically possible to win.
Clinton won in 92 with 43% of the vote.
