Maybe we need to tell more businesses to eat the cost of more government imposed cost increases

Nothing says "free markets" quite like government putting it's thumb on the scale

LMAO. It didn't happen in the last 24 hours. It started a long time ago.

Blame whichever party you want and you will only be half right.

As most of you know, I only have the comprehension of a 5-year-old. But the headline "It's the largest mandatory spending cuts in history. $1.6 Trillion." Is not quoted from Burchett. What he says is, "Largest tax cuts in American history." We already borrow almost 2 trillion a year to meet our budget, which means the taxes collected aren't enough to cover it. The only factual way to look at this, is we will borrow $1.6 Trillion less over ten years. Borrowing less does not equal a tax cut, because our taxes don't cover our budget. And the debt will only continue to grow. It's only numbers in a column that Congress seems to ignore year after year as we hurdled toward economic collapse.

It’s like your wife telling you she saved you money this month by not spending as much on the credit card.

So how is our deficit looking? How much lower is the annual deficit going to be? How are we going to combat our $35T+ in debt with these deficits?

Whatever spending cuts there may be are more than offset by tax cuts, meaning that the net effect is another massive increase in debt.

How can questions be dishonest?

How are we going to combat our $35T+ in debt with these deficits?

over 10 years......so only 160B a year on a 6.8T budget.........

so a 2.35% cut......

And it squeaked through by ONE vote. We aren't getting the cuts we want with such a slim majority, many of which are RINOS. It's gonna take a much bigger majority to get consequential reforms passed and thanks to gerrymandering that will never happen. Enjoy what victories you can because it would have been infinitely worse under a Harris administration.

Because you and I both know there will not be trillions in tax cuts.

quote:

The "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives, is projected to reduce federal tax revenue by approximately $4.1 trillion over the next decade (2025–2034). This estimate is based on a conventional analysis by the Tax Foundation.

The standard deduction alone is going to give you $1 trillion tax cut.

quote:

Increased Standard Deduction: The nearly doubled standard deduction from the 2017 tax law is made permanent, with an additional $1,000 for single filers and $1,500 for married couples filing jointly through 2028.

quote:

The Congressional Budget Office projects that the tax changes alone could add $2.4 trillion to the national debt over ten years. To offset these costs, the bill proposes significant cuts to social programs, including Medicaid and SNAP, potentially affecting millions of Americans.

Honestly just adding a work requirement would go a long way.

Under Harris the tax cuts would expire and youd still get inflation.

Why are you such a fricking retard?

You can't even admit you were wrong. Trillions will be cut.

There are also smaller things like writing off interests on a car loan if you buy American. There is the no tax on OT, the no tax on SS. It all adds up.

So you prefer inflation to taxation beause both Trump and Harris will cost you the same in the long run

Got it. Thats why you prefer a bill that does jack shite about the deficit.
Which is exactly what I predicted Trump would od, kick the can down the road to the next person

And you prefer taxation and inflation.

BTW, inflation is down under Trump. Mostly through energy costs.

But you knew this already.

Taxes will be cut Roger. And yes, this is what I voted for. It is what the majority of Americans voted for.
