Then Cornyn supported lifting the filibuster in March until he didn’t again in August.

You can’t make this shite up.

Cornyn Says He Now Opposes Scrapping the Filibuster

quote:

Senator John Cornyn of Texas said Tuesday that he does not support doing away with the filibuster, in a change from the position he adopted earlier this year while he was running for reelection.

quote:

In a March op-ed, Cornyn, who would go on to lose his primary to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, wrote that he supported “whatever changes to Senate rules that may prove necessary” to pass the SAVE America Act, but he is now much cooler on the prospect of altering Senate rules.

“I said I was open to changes in the filibuster, but I was intentionally not very specific,” Cornyn told National Review of his March position. “I’m happy to have that conversation, but I’m not prepared to vote to overturn the filibuster at this time.”

In more ways than one. He and Rove endorsed Talafreako.

Those two “endorsements” will have about the same influence on the election as host picks on college gameday influence Saturday’s game.

I remember. It was a shrewd police move by Paxton to get in Trump’s good graces while appearing like a team player.

Now this race is his to own.

Will be interesting to see how this reporting compares to the actual vote results from those counties

You're going to love that filibuster when the Republicans are in the minority in the Senate one day.

Stopped a lot of crap during Clinton's term because of it.

I did my part and voted last week. Not a fan of Paxton but definitely couldn’t vote for a heretic freak.
