He is crazy as frick. His family has said he has severe mental problems. But so fricking what? Because he's crazy and because the state put them together.. that old vet doesn't deserve justice? That vet's family doesn't deserve justice?
That crazy guy had the wherewithal to start recording. It's not a moment of crazy, blind rage if ya meticulously set up a recording beforehand to document what you're about to do.

He was definitely well aware as he was cognitive to decide to set in mode that prompted a string of actions, the first being that it was a good idea to beat the guy which led to the decision to record to have proof of his actions. He set camera up and proceeded to beat the man .

When exactly did it become a thing that the mental health card became a get out of jail free card?
I don't give a damn if you are mentally ill, or not, if you act like an animal and hurt others, you need to be locked away far from others so you cannot hurt them.
And what's more: if this was a white guy beating the shite out of a black elderly man, the entire nation would be burning and the full weight of the Federal Gov't would be crushing him. He'd never see the light of day again.
It's so fricking maddening.
