If the shoe fits, don't be ashamed to wear it. Must have struck a chord. At least tell me you removed the tongue on your trailer.

In his defense, SFP never disappeared. He's been a buttplug for almost 4 years now

They never cared about Ron. They just used the movement as an excuse to discard Republicans as soon as they inevitably went back to Trump.

Yeah this is fascinating psychologically.

MAGA argues it's for the uneducated/lower-trade class, and not the "elite" professional class, and then engages in a major meltdown/REE fest when the "elite", educated professionals don't want to be seen as uneducated lower-trade class.

Trump loses, then MAGA becomes a footnote much like the Tea Party. MAGA is overall an unorganized movement embodied by Trump and thus dies with Trump.

Even if Trump loses I think there maybe be enough fuel in the MAGA hopefull that they will split off from the GOP and form at the very least a short lived but failrly substantianl 3rd party. They may not win elections but they will peel off enough supporters from the GOP to guarantee Democrats victories for another election cycle or two. There is just imo too much support and money to be made my MAGA grifters for it to just evaporate overnight. The key for them will be finding a surrogate Trump.

Step away from the computer. High income earners voted for Trump 55/45. Why are your opinions so influenced by PT posters and their B.S. about "MAGA?" Did you know there's 74 million people that voted for him that don't post on TD?

They don’t want to be seen with the purple haired tranny psychos and street jihadists either. What’s your point?

You’re gonna lecture us on psychology now?

Yep. Even Roger said this after Ron lost and said everyone is disposable. This doesn’t apply to every Ron supporter but the ones everyone know that hate Trump supporters.

I live in the south, in MAGA county

This board is much more educated and professional than the typical person I interact with on a daily basis outside of work.

You know, they all mention the Founders, Jefferson, Hamilton, Madison and the like. If they were alive today, they would be excoriated by the MAGA crowd as effete effeminate elites.....especially Madison who was maybe 5'5" in his shoes and weighed maybe 135 lbs and they would not be too keen on Jefferson either who was an intellectual. Both were from the upper class who had little in common with the common man and overall did not pretend to.

Now, Hamilton was another story.

He’s like any other pinko… clinging to some old survey about college educated voters favoring the left.

Part of me thinks the left wants Trump to get elected so that they can put him in the rear view mirror instead of dealing with him again 4 years from now.

HORRIBLE analysis from a guy who has never read a word of political philosophy in his life. Why should you, you are smarter than all those guys, anyhow right?

I ascribe to a certain Buckleyism school of faith in the common man that was prevalent until you twerps and ninnies started championing boutique ideas 15 years ago . This faith goes as follows:

quote:

I Would Rather Be Governed By the First 2,000 People in the Telephone Directory than by the Harvard University Faculty

Those like yourself, dilettantes who possess the soul of a bureaucrat and the inquiring mind of a college student, are the people who easily lose the script, imagining yourself to be of a higher, better, elite class of rare intellects who are fit to govern, and the common working man to be a figure of derision and ridicule. I reject that. You should too.

I wasnt really even thinking of those....I was thinking along the lines of a Don JR or maybe a relatively unknown in the Trump orbit that can feast on the remnants of MAGA.

If you’re voting for a candidate whose entire platform is driven by marxism, for any reason at all, you were never much of an independent or republican.

He once observed a lad at a gas station drinking a white monster energy drink. He and his partner quickly locked the doors on their Subaru Forester.

Whatever pet issue sexual deviance they have is far far more important to them than taxes, immigration, etc. They have no desire to take any risks to grow their wealth and dont want YOU to be able to do it either
