You gotta be shitting me. Apples and oranges. Grandmas were thrown in prison for walking, in between the ropes I might add, peacefully like on a tour AFTER the police let them in you frick.
Did you read the thread of lefties posting about this? They sound just like you. They are citing examples of people who (they say) showed up at a protest, were peaceful, and then left. I think that sounds a lot like your example…you frick!
Here is one.
quote:
But some of the defendants - like Batten, Elizabeth Soto and her husband, Ines Soto, were not involved in the planning, arrived separately at the protest, and left when guards at the facility asked them to do so." 50 years for showing up to a protest where other people do stupid shite and leaving when asked to do so.

“They think they’re prepared for it.”
These fricking idiots have no clue as to the hell waiting to be unleashed on them. It’s like listening to the rhetoric of Middle East hadjis. They’re all fearless until they actually experience pushback.

J6er's threw bombs at the Capitol and shot police?
I don’t think anyone is complaining about someone who threw bombs at police going to jail. Here is one of their complaints:

If people at J6 had brought guns and explosives and shot a cop, I would expect people involved in the periphery to get swept up in it.
The fact that J6 was basically non-violent and no protesters shot anyone, or even had weapons, makes your comparison invalid.
This was a planned violent terrorist operation. Comparing the two events is intellectually lazy.

As long as these antifas are in a hell of their own making, I don't care what redditors think about it.

I got permabanned from reddit for saying that blacks killed more whites than vice versa.
Told me it was hate speech.

Nobody on J6 got a 100-year sentence or anything close to it.
Yes the Antifa crimes were worse, but the punishments were proportionately worse.
That proportionality effectively removes this distinction

What about the part where J6 was orchestrated by the feds?

Why are you comparing these two events? They are nothing alike. They happened in two different cities, with completely different facts, motivations and outcomes.
This is as dumb as comparing Karmelo Anthony and Kyle Rittenhouse.
And even if they were similar, sentencing disparities happen all the time - sometimes to an extreme degree. That happens because there are different cities, with completely different facts, motivations and outcomes.

The term "fascist" means nothing nowadays. They've beaten it into just regular, senseless, random terminology.
National Socialists and International Communists are like two horns on the same dictatorial goat. The Communists murdered more people though.

Maybe at the arrest phase, but not at the charged phase, and certainly not at the conviction phase.

I think you are basing your opinion on biased news stories and not the evidence portrayed at the trial.
The supporters of these terrorists are using the minimization technique to downplay the facts.
"Hiding evidence" becomes "moving some magazines"
"Coordinating uniforms" becomes "we just wore black"
"Detonating explosives" becomes a "noise demonstration with fireworks"
"Shooting a cop" becomes "accidentally injuring someone from far away"
When your group gets classified as terrorists, which is what ANTIFA is now, even the most minor level involvement can put in jail for a long time.

No, I’m not basing my opinion on anything but facts. I have no opinion about the righteousness of the antifa sentencing because I know nothing about the facts. My expressed opinion was about the leftists in that thread sounding a lot like the righties protesting the harshness of the Jan 6 sentences. And I based that opinion on the FACT that THEY SOUNDED EXACTLY THE SAME.

Weren’t some of them locked away for years with no trial at all?

How many J6ers went to jail that never trespassed or stormed the capitol or harmed anybody? The ones there peacefully who went to prison because of stupid actions by a handful of people?
Not so fun when the shoe is on the other foot is it libs?

There is one commonality between J6 and the Texas attack, Antifa was responsible for violence at both.

Thanks for that, I enjoyed the salt.
