Reddit has taken a turn for the worse in Biden's America. I was browsing outside of my normal porn browsing and fell upon a sub where a guy was asking about unemployment. Here's how it went:

quote:

I've been on unemployment for close to a year. Benefits were set to expire 4/17, but I was under the impression that benefits were to be extended automatically, due to the latest stimulus bill. Now I'm starting to see mixed messages on whether or not I should reapply. Sorry if this isn't the right sub, but any info would be appreciated.

My response to this poster:

quote:

Go get a job. That’s the best way to not need unemployment.

The reddit snowflakes jumped all over me for this. One poster (who unbeknownst to me was a mod) posted:

quote:

That's not helpful.

Great response snowflake. I came back with:

quote:

I am a contributing member to society, not someone that lives off unemployment. Helping someone live off the government is not something that I excel at, as I have never been unemployed in my life and needed the assistance. It's called tough love. Put in a hard days work and you'll get paid and not need unemployment.

Nothing harsh, just my thoughts on freeloaders.

quote:

k let me phrase this a different way: Don't be an arse in a thread where someone is asking for help.

I didn't think my response was being an arse, more of a hard-working citizen that hates people who just get by on the government.

I replied:

quote:

I'm not being an arse, i am being helpful. Getting a job is the best way to not need unemployment. Now it may not be the direct help that OP is looking for, but it's still helping.

and then his response:

quote:

Well, out ya go then.

At that point I was banned from this subreddit.

I know we all know that this world is headed in the wrong direction, but up until this point I have never seen how wrong it is. I am absolutely shaking my head over him banning me.

Are you coming to TD to give us a recap on how your Reddit conversation went with a random person?

If this thread goes bad, will you post the results on Facebook?

Large subreddits are huge circle jerks in which the mods have a plan on how things should go and anything that goes against their wishes results in you getting tossed.

That's not even the worst kind of crap on there. There are people who will see that you have posted in certain other subreddits and immediately ban you the second you say anything because your mere existence infuriates them.

Wow, you're so cool and smart, brah. You really told those marxists! I hope you find the validation you need among the like-minded of the OT

Reddit is a cesspool of soy boys that's moderated by even more sensitive, power hungry, mentally ill soy boys. Stop going there for anything but porn.

I used to see how quickly I could get banned without being completely obnoxious from subreddits when bored, it's really easy

They had an epic thread exposing the pedophiles in high ranking positions in government. Then poof, it vanishes. That’s when I knew big tech is in charge of what we get to see.

You shoulda been more nuanced with your initial response....

‘that certainly is challenging OP. Have you considered finding employment? I’ve found this to be the best way to avoid issues with unemployment benefits’

I have a Twitter account, but I rarely post anything. Once, I replied back to someone complaining about not getting enough money from the govt, and I was bombarded with messages. It was truly insane the things some of these people were saying

I'm surprised more people don't share their conflicts on other websites, verbatim, here on the OT. Such an exciting read!

This reminds me of Biden's speech that everyone that works 40 hours deserves good pay. The problem with that logic is that you are not taking into account the idea that working for a degree should count towards what kind of pay you receive in a more lucrative job. Just working at McDonalds should not earn you a comfortable living because it is not the same thing as working a skilled job where you actually need qualifications for. You aren't owed a comfortable living, you earn that. (unless you are rich)

Life isn't fair and you have to actually try in order to fend for yourself. No one on Reddit wants to hear anything like that so stop posting there. It is futile.

Reddit isn't like it used to be. It's time for a replacement.

The mods are the worst and absolutely groom subreddits to their agenda. It's pointless to try to fight a particular mod, on a particular subreddit because they're all in cahoots.
