Nixon was actually a pretty good President. Just power hungry and paranoid. Take away Watergate which looks quaint compared to present day corruption and he was a decent President 6.5/10.

This was me and Id say a fair assessment. His foreign policy and understanding of international negotiations/mindset were well above average. Came out in later years but of course his reputation was so tarnished by Watergate and his resignation that he could never recover.

Nixon. Mixed bag. Snagging the Chinese away from the Soviet sphere of influence was a major turning point in the Cold War. Sure, it gave rise to what China currently is, but they're boxed-in geographically and pose less of a threat than people think.

Jimmy Carter. He'll go down in history as a terrible president but also as one of the kindest and most generous people who ever lived.

Gerald Ford. I really don't know but I guess he was a 5/10.

Reagan 0/10. Militarized the police, tripled the National debt, increased government spending by 65%, released the bullshite “A Nation at Risk” propaganda that started “school reform” initiatives that have undermined public education in this country, doubled the country’s prison population despite declining crime rates, etc etc.

Gotta love the downvotes of facts we don’t like with no response because the truth hurts.

Reagan: I would give him an 8/10 of what I know fundamentally. I was born in 1987, so my growing of age president was Clinton.

I wish Reagan had handled the border better and created much harsher deterents for future migrants.
