He represents Kentucky

The bill contains BS language that hurts hemp farmers in his elected state

I’m glad he’s fighting for business owners on his state

So Rand Paul is actually representing the interests of his constituents? But, but, but I was told on this forum that Rand’s song & dance routine was funded by Qatar?

Proposed hemp ban tucked into federal funding bill could stall end to gov’t shutdown…

…If enacted, the provision could swiftly eliminate up to 80% of revenue for hemp makers and destroy an up to $28 billion market for their products made possible by language included in Congress’ 2018 Farm Bill, according to industry insiders.

The economic fallout of as much as $1.5 billion in lost tax revenue would hit states such as Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Colorado and Oregon the hardest, said the industry reps, who have also expressed concern about the legislation giving a boost to foreign producers.

I actually agree with him as well. Leave the hemp farming industry alone.

True colors have been shown... I doubt most were ever really anti BigGov.

90% of them now love the same Federal government they railed against less than a year ago. It really is sad.

Well THC Seltzer enjoyers, the federal government has saved you tonight from enjoying a healthy alternative to alcohol. Thank God they’re watching out for you and protecting the real folks who need saving: the alcohol lobby.

So who snuck in that provision? Seems like a worthy thing to ask and have answered.

Has she tried liquor? The alcohol lobby has some suggestions for your grandma: start drinking.

I am incensed over this. You know, there was no other way anything like this would have passed in normal debate. So they did it like this. It’s the cheapest thing I’ve seen in politics in some time and it was fricking wrong to do it.

It’s grossly disheartening. I legit feel cheated. This is bullshite.
