Lol, so what terms did Russia give up? So Russia's terms were to only take a couple small pieces of Ukraine and to also keep Ukraine out of Nato?

What was Russia giving up for that? lol you guys

Let me remind you guys the major issue with Ukraine is that Poland is one of NATO's biggest and most important members, and Ukraine separates Poland and Russia. So one of the big issues from the beginning was keeping the two apart.

I'm not suggesting the US spending this money is a good cause. But what I'm suggesting is I don't know the answer.

Everyone here yelling "war mongerers" are the same ones that would have yelled that when the Nazi's invaded. At some point you have to put your foot down. Where that is or was, IDK.

In my opinion Russia has shown great restraint by keeping this thing a meat grinder and not using its full capabilities. If the west had not gotten in the way Ukraine would have fallen long ago and Russia would have annexed the land it wants. Now it’s either admit defeat or take the sparring gloves off and bring this to the next level.

A measured response. I agree with all this.

ETA: Poland is probably the most easterly expansion of NATO that made any sense. The Baltic states are just a helplessly exposed flank that, by virtue of their size, can’t contribute much but at the same time constitute another defense obligation.

I wouldn't say Russia is showing great restraint. They are throwing some of their best equipment and units into this thing. If they have shown restraint in any field it's been with missiles. There's no reason for Putin to have wanted this thing to go on as long as it has.

Russia will not tolerate NATO in Ukraine no more than we would let Russia set up in Mexico. Ukraine invited this crap with their US based corruption. The Globalist DC cabal own this.

But they will tolerate Lithuania, Finland, and Latvia on their borders. This has always been why the whole Russian is only doing this because it doesn't want NATO on its borders thing confuses me.

"Not one inch east." That's what we promised Russia.

A thousand miles later....

Yea but what changed since 2004 (which is when Latvia and Lithuania) joined NATO. Why didn't Russian invade them like Ukraine? All I'm saying is seems like the NATO thing is just an excuse to take some land that the Russians feel has always belonged to them.

I was responding to a post that suggested cutting off US aid will end the war in days. It wont stop the war in days if we cut all funding. Only about 10% of the funding we sent this year has actually reached battlefield in the form of arms. Other NATO countries may or may not get more heavily involved financially or militarily if we cut off aid. The Ukrainians may be more opt to negotiate if US aid is on the line and I'm sure that is part of Trumps negotiation tactic but there are other interest and factors.

Correct but to add on, it would be more like New Mexico and Arizona decided to secede from the union and become a part of Mexico because we suck and went all woke and Reconquista and all that and so they did it one day and became part of Mexico.

And then 25 years later or so China ran a color revolution to overthrow the legit government Mexico via psy-ops and election frickery and what not and installed a puppet regime there, let’s say they ran fluffy as their new Manchurian candidate President of Mexico

quote:

I’m the new legit President of Mexico

Then they had fluffy start a civil war in Mexico targeting the Mexican provinces of Arizona and New Mexico and started bombing all if the non-Hispanic white bread ex-US people there and slaughtering them left and right.

Then fluffy invited China in to form a military treaty with then so they could stage Chinese troops in the Mexican provinces of Arizona and New Mexico and build military installations there include a few dozen gain of function biological weapon research labs.

That is close to the situation China would be putting us in as far as what we have done to the Ukraine and Russia right down to the CIA puppet comedian president.

Are you sure about that. I thought that Ukraine forces were attacking ethnic Russians in the Donbass and Donetsk since 2014
