PT lawyers - Federal judges having decisions struck down by higher courts?

Is there a database that tells us what # or % of decisions that federal judges have reversed by a higher court?
Do lifetime appointed judges even care if their decisions are overturned? Seems to me a judge would take great pride in not getting slapped down by his/her/they superiors.
I found something that District 9 has a 79% overturn rate. But couldn't find anything about specific judges.

these were just politcal hacks and motivated to subvert our rule of law, these were scum and they manipulated the system in order to attack the Trump administration.

If you want to take the time and have access to avcase reporting system like Westlaw or Lexis, you could do the work yourself, by tracking cases from each district court, but it would be incredibly laborious and time consuming. You’d have to be an obsessed maniac to actually do it.

SFP has never had his decisions questioned nor should he, this is a non issue

Seems like accuracy would be a valuable metric to someone as powerful as a federal judge with a lifetime appointment.
Why isn't this information available to the voting public? That's what "muh democracy" should look like.

I haven’t even watched or followed news coverage on it because it’s just about as bogus as the fake indictments of Trump over the last 2 years. 100% politics

Grok:
quote:
From 2007 to 2023, the Supreme Court reversed about 75.5% of Ninth Circuit cases it reviewed, though this peaked at 94% in the 2020 term (15 of 16 cases).

there are services out there that put together an entire judicial profile so that defendants (insurance companies or large corporations ) have the data to determine a likely percentage of a judge ruling on a particular issue.
A Motion for Summary Judgment for example - they can let you know that the judge denies them 92% of the time so you can plan accordingly on your defense or same for a plaintiff ... again this is very very expensive but it is available.

I’m not aware of anything that attempts to keep this kind of statistics.
It’s difficult for non-litigators to understand the size of the caseload for the federal courts of appeal. If you want some insight into it, the US Fifth Circuit has a free subscription service where they will email you links to every case decided in that Circuit. For cases that are designated as published, the email will have pdf opinions attached. It’s an eye opening thing to keep up with. Subscribers get multiple emails a day, including weekends and holidays. Some emails will have just a few cases, others will have 25 to 50 cases. They decide a huge number of cases.

the 9th as a whole is the only one I could find data on. i can't find anything on individual judges.

I couldn't trust one of the others mentioned... which is funny - just their obsession on this board, posting all day long, would make me wonder.

As soon as SFP gets a dick outta his mouth, he'll be along with his mumbo jumbo ambulance chasing legal gibberish.

You’d be surprised.
Some judges get reversed more than average in particular areas of law. If you have a big case with a judge, you run that judge’s entire history. Patterns emerge.

Federal Statistics
It doesn’t report by individual judge, just by district and circuit.
If you want reversal info for a specific judge, I think you can find it on Westlaw. Which is not cheap and even I’m not nerdy enough to go look that crap up.
